Unit 5 Do you want to watch a game show ?

一.教学目标
知识目标:
1. Words and phrases: discussion, stand, happen, may, expect, joke comedy. don’t mind/ can’t stand/ want/ hope/ expect/ plan to
2. Target language in grammar focus:
⑴ Talking about preferences :
A: What do you think of talk shows ?
B: I don’t mind them./ I can’t stand them!/ I love watching them!/
A: Why do you like watching the news ?
B: Because I hope to find out what’s going on around the world.
⑵ Making plans :
A: Do you want to watch the news ?
B: Yes, I do. /No, I don’t.
A: What do you plan to watch on TV tonight?
B: I plan to watch Days of Our Past.
3. Grammar: 动词不定式作宾语Infinitives used as object: to do
能力目标:
能运用目标语言谈论对不同类型电视节目的看法、喜好以及安排。(preferences and make planes)
情感目标:
培养小组合作、竞争意识;让学生能客观的认识自己的喜好,养成积极乐观的生活态度。
二.教学重点难点
重点:运用目标语言talk about preferences and make plans .
难点:动词不定式做宾语
三.教学过程
Step1. Warm up (强化section A中的TV shows.)
1. Enjoy a video(Mr Bean).
2. Review the TV shows in section A and learn a new word : comedy
[设计意图]:以video热身,复习上节课已经学过的TV shows的名称 ,以旧引新,学习本节课的新单词comedy。
Step2.Pre----task (巩固section A部分的目标语言:谈论喜好以及制定计划)
1. What do you think of comedies?(preference)
[设计意图]:继续以comedy为话题,复习巩固谈论喜好的目标语言,为下面几个环节做好知识铺垫。
2. What can you expect to learn from comedies ?(make plans)
I think we can expect to learn some jokes.
[设计意图]:由谈论喜好过渡到本节课的另一目标语言:制定计划,复习上节课学习的不定式的用法,为下面几个环节做好知识铺垫。同时在问答中处理新单词expect , joke。
3. Do you want to watch a game show?(title )
[设计意图]:引出本节课的题目,为进入正题做好充分的准备。
Step3. While---task
Task1.SA 2d. (课本P34 2d.)
1. Listen and answer ( 巩固TVshows 并且快速阅读把握大意)

[设计意图]:该问题是为了引导学生注意把握文本大意,在听力训练的同时培养学生带着问题进行听的习惯,并且处理新单词discussion.
2. Read and fill .

[设计意图]:继续强化复习表达喜好的短语,并且培养学生抓关键词的阅读技能。
3. Listen and repeat ,then role-play it.
[设计意图]:开口之前先要听一听,进行听力训练,注意语音语调。
4. Rewrite. (Complete the passage according to 2d. 《同步》第51页,IV)
Grace and Sarah are talking. Sarah told Grace today they ______________ about TV shows in class. Her classmates like game shows and ___________. But Grace ______________. [设计意图]:再次回扣文本资料,排除理解障碍,夯实2d的内容。
Task2 Grammar Focus
1. Recall the TV shows .

[设计意图]:帮助学生养成用mind map梳理知识的习惯,并且再次巩固强化目标语言,以mind map的内容为主线,为下一环节做好铺垫。
Task3. SA 3b Pair work.
1. Write the answers.
2. Ask and answer in pairs.
3. Show.
[设计意图]:由2d的别人谈论喜好和计划,转到自己谈论自己的身上。从2d机械操练提升为有意义操练,问答完全是开放式的,学生通过应用语言进行练习。环节设计:先让学生写一写,再让学生谈一谈,然后让学生秀一秀,整个过程有内化有吸收。并且以小组问答形式进行,利于学生养成合作互助的好习惯。
Task4. SA 3a.
1. Talk in pairs and write the answers down.
2. Ask and answer in pairs.
3. Show.
4. Circle out hope to , plan to , want to .
[设计意图]:创设一个今晚的电视节目列表。引导学生结合自己的实际情况,做出一个对话。本环节主要是巩固本单元的语法:动词不定式做宾语,所以在活动结束的时候,引导学生圈出hope to watch , plan to watch , want to watch这几个语块,并为下一个环节做好脚手架。
Task5. SA 3c. Make a survey.
1.Ask and answer in groups according to the pattern drills .
2.Write the names and reasons .
3.Writing .
[设计意图]:以调查的形式,再次巩固本节课的目标语言,活动中除了巩固了语法动词不定式作宾语,也加入了原因,这为下一步的writing输出铺路。

[设计意图]:以写调查报告的形式,再次强化目标语言,而且结合上个环节调查报告,学生有话写,也实现了语言要学以致用的目的。

[设计意图]:不再只是拘泥于课本的TV shows , 跳出本节课思维发散了一下,学以致用,以疯狂的联想拓展目标语言以及动词不定式做宾语的用法,同时让学生在游戏中体会使用英语的快乐。

[设计意图]:1.巩固并且强化本节课的内容。
2.为下一节课做好预习。
