知识目标:
“Why don’t you learn to sing English songs?”这一话题,继续学习和巩固如何给建议和意见,懂得谈论和比较不同的东西和事物以及现在完成时态的用法,利用本课所学习的话题,把功能与语法教学紧密结合一起。
能力目标:
本课利用what who where why等疑问词进行提问,使学生掌握文章的主要意思,吸取信息,掌握新的知识,从而达到独立阅读的能力。
情感态度价值观:
树立学好英语的自信心.
教学重点:1. key vocabulary in this period
2. Understand the passage correctly
教学难点:How to write a good summary
教学方法:情境引入法、任务型教学法
学习方法:自主法、探究法。
教具准备:多媒体白板、录音机
教学过程:
Step 1: Revision and new words .
Greet the class as usual and check the homework .Show the new words. Ask students to read the words one by one .Correct any mistakes. Then read them to the class and ask students to repeat.
设计目的:检查学生对词汇的预习情况
Step 2:播放英文歌曲。
设计目的:歌曲节奏明快,情绪激昂,很容易让学生产生共鸣。同时通过这一歌曲的播放导入本课话题。Why don’t you learn to sing English songs?
Step 3:自主探究
Question: How can singing English songs help your English?
设计目的:通过小组讨论,合作交流探讨唱英语歌曲对学习英语的帮助如:We can learn some new worlds, we can become more interested English, we can improve the ability of listening and speaking and so on.同时引出下一环节。
Step 4:Fast reading: the ways to improve our English.
Read the passage quickly then find the answers of the questions。
How many ways are mentioned in the reading? And what are they?
设计目的:通过快速阅读,让学生整体理解本篇文章。能否正确回答这一问题能检测出学生理解本篇文章的程度。
Step 5:Careful reading then answer the questions as many as you can
Questions:
(1)How many singers entered the contest? Were they able to sing well?
(2)Where was the winner of the men’s competition from?
(3)Who was the winner of the women’s competition?
(4)Did the winners think they were better than the other singers?
(5)What does Beijing Speaks English suggest?
设计目的:通过仔细阅读然后回答这些问题帮助学生深入理解本篇文章。注意要解释划线的单词和短语
Step 6:Read Paragraph 3 and 4 then guess the meaning of the following words and phrases

最后用这些单词和短语造句。
设计目的:由于Paragraph 3 and 4所含重点和难点知识较多。通过再次阅读Paragraph 3 and 4,让学生进一步理解3,4段的大意和重点知识的运用。最后的造句环节让学生学会学以致用,培养学生综合运用英语的能力。
Step 7:Practice
1. Have you ever tried improving your English using any of the ways mentioned in the reading? What other ways can you think of to improve your English ?
2. Write a summary of the reading using no more than 100 words.
设计目的:综合运用所学的知识,起到巩固检测的作用。发现问题及时解决,使学生将所学知识在语言环境中多次实践。
Step 8:Summary
在这节课,我们学习了阅读并且我们知道了一些英语歌,我们也知道了唱英语歌是提高我们英语的一个好的方法。

学唱一首英语歌曲并用英语写出学习的体会
设计目的:让学生在生活中使用英语这门语言。
