教学基本信息 学科 双语科学 执教 吕文丹 年级 二年级 团队研修主题 Observe & Detect 课题 Shadow(II) 教学背景分析 Content: In lesson 3, students continue their exploration of shadows to find out how a shadow’s size is affected by an object’s distance from a light source. Finally, students further explore and consolidate their learning by staging a shadow-puppet show. Students’ situation: Students should now have some basic ideas about the relationship between a source of light and a shadow. The activities in this lesson encourage structured exploration, with opportunities for students to talk about light and shadows amongst themselves. Using methods: group discussion, experimental method Preparation for this lesson: a torch (prepare by students) 学习目标 1. Predict the changes to the size and shape of shadows when a light is be moved. 2. Understand how shadow puppet work. 学习重难点 Understand the changes of the size and shape of shadows 学习过程 1. Review Sing the Song <The Shadow Song> 2. Stimulus activity Play a game. “Can you make shadow animals with your hands?” “Can you guess what it is?” Use “Guess what is it?” “It’s a ……” 3. Teach key words Move Shadow 4. Activity 1 Work in groups. Do an experiment. We need a torch, an object (pencil case or a small bear), a piece of card or wall. Darken the room. Move the torch near or far from the objects and observe the size of the shadow of the objects. Make a record. Can the shadow become bigger/ smaller? Draw down what your findings. Observe the light of the laser pointer. And find out how does light travel. 5. Let’s Practice (activity book P13) Which one is correct? 6. Now I know…… I can make a shadow big. I can make the shadow small. 7. Let’s practice (homework for today) Cut down some shapes. Make shadows and tell a story. 板书设计 What is it? It’s a _________. 作业设计 1. Read the text. 2.
