Section A 学前活动 学习内容:词汇学习热身 激活已学过的与学习方法有关的短语,如:read English books, listen to the tapes, make up conversations, sing English songs, join the English club等。 教学活动设计意图: 引出本单元话题,为学习本单元目标语做好词语的准备。 教学步骤 教师行为 学生行为 Step 1 利用音频歌曲,启发学生说出表示英语学习方法的短语和句子,并鼓励学生积极举手抢答。 Ask students to listen to a song and speak out their ways of learning English. Groupwork. 按照老师的要求以组为单位,列举出本小组成员学习英语的方法。 学中活动一 重点词汇学习: by working with friends, by making flashcards, by making vocabulary lists, 学习内容:教材Section A的1a 教学活动设计意图: 帮助学生学习本单元表示学习方法的重点表达法,为对话交流做好词语的准备。 教学步骤 教师行为 学生行为 Step 4 带领学生朗读六个学习方法短语,让学生翻译成中文;并按课本要求布置学习任务。 Lead the reading, ask students to translate the structures into Chinese and do the exercises in 1a. Read after the teacher. Translate the structures into Chinese. Check the ways they study for an English test. Then add other ways they use sometimes. 按照教师要求完成。 Step 5 学生完成后,教师可以先让学生同伴间分享不同的学习方法,然后找几名同学把自己的学习方法写在黑板上,关注学生的拼写及by doing结构的使用是否正确。 Ask students to share their ways of studying English in pairs. Pay much attention to the verb forms they use. 以小组或两人结对的形式操练句型,注意第三人称单数的动词形式。 Step 16 选择几组学生表演对话,注意第三人称单数的使用是否正确。 Ask students to show their conversations. I think it helps. 学习内容:教材Section A的2a、2b、2c 活动设计意图: 通过听和写,学习并操练目标语。 教学步骤 教师行为 学生行为 Step 17 播放听力音频,布置听力2a任务。 Play the tape and ask students to follow what they hear. Listen and check the questions they hear in the conversation 听并完成2a的练习。 Step 18 利用PPT演示核对答案。 Check the answers in class. Check the answers. 核对答案,明确对话中所提到的问题。 Step 19 布置2b任务。 Ask students to do the exercise in 2b. Listen again and match each question in 2a with the answer in 2b. 听第二遍,完成2b的练习。 Step 20 利用PPT演示核对答案。 Check the answers in class. Step 23 教师提问,让学生根据听到的对话,总结可以用到的提问句型和表示评价的句型,为2c部分的对话做好准备。 1. — How do you learn English? — I learn by studying with a group. 2. — Do you learn English by reading aloud? — Yes, I do. 3. — What about reading aloud to practice pronunciation? — I do that sometimes. I think it helps. Ask students to list the sentences they can use to talk about English study. Answer the questions and list the sentences. 回答问题,总结句型。 Step 24 使用PPT示例对话,学生按要求进行对话练习。 Ask students to make conversations according to the sample. Make conversations with partners or group mates. 和同伴或小组成员进行对话练习。 Step 25 选择几组同学表演对话,关注学生句型的使用。 Ask some pairs or groups to show their conversations. Listen and learn. 倾听,并关注目标语言的表达。 学中活动五 目标语运用 学习内容:教材Section A的3a、3b、Activity 4 活动设计意图: 通过阅读和口语表达,在运用中巩固目标语言。 教学步骤 教师行为 学生行为 Step 26 布置3a读前任务1,让学生自由说出自己认为有用的或最好的一种学习英语的方法,用幻灯片对句型进行提示。 Ask students to pick out one useful or the best way to learn English. Check the answers and retell the text according to the answers. 核对答案,说出短文大意。 Step 27 播放3a听力,布置读前任务2:听短文,填表格。 Ask students to listen to the text and complete the sentences in the form. Listen and fill out the form. 听短文,把表格中的内容补充完整。 Step 28 利用PPT演示,核对答案,并要求学生根据核对答案的线索说出短文大意。 Check the answers and ask students to tell the main idea of the text. Check the answers and retell the text according to the answers. 核对答案,说出短文大意。 Step 29 布置读中任务1:提出有关课文内容的5个问题,要求学生快速读全文,并回答问题。 1. Does Lillian Li study grammar? Why or why not? 2. How long has Wei Ming been learning English? How does he like English? 3. Why does he think watching English movies is OK? 4. What does Liu Chang think of having conversations with friends? And why? 5. How do many students at New Star High School learn English? Ask students to do a fast reading and answer 5 questions given before reading. Get the questions and read the text as fast as possible to find the answers to the 5 questions. 明确老师要求和5个问题的内容,快速阅读并找出答案。 Step 30 利用PPT核对答案,并要求学生在课文中相应处做记号。 Check the answers and ask students to mark in the text. Check the answers and underline the important sentences in the text. 核对答案并在课文中做记号。 Step 31 布置读中任务2:要求学生仔细阅读全文,并完成3a的表格。 Ask students to read for details to finish the form of 3a. Read the text carefully to find out the information needed to fill out the form in 3a. 认真读课文,从文中找出合适的信息完成3a中的表格。 Step 32 利用PPT核对答案,并要求学生根据表格复述课文中三个学生对不同英语学习方法的看法。 Check the answers and ask students to retell the opinions of the students in the text. Check the answers and retell according to the requests. 核对答案并按要求复述。 Step 33 讲解课文中的知识点,要求学生做笔记。(根据学生情况,拓展内容可以放在Self Check完成进行补充也可以。) 教师在3a阅读之后进行以下知识点的讲解: 一、课内知识点 1.specific suggestions: 具体的建议 e.g. The students need some specific suggestions for English study. 2.动名词短语作主语的用法 动名词可以在句子中充当名词所能充当的多种句子成分。在这里仅就动名词在句子中作主语的情况进行讨论。动名词作主语有如下几种常见情况: ① 直接位于句首做主语。例如: Swimming is a good sport in summer. ② 用 it 作形式主语,把动名词(真实主语)置于句尾作后置主语。动名词做主语时,不太常用it作先行主语,多见于某些形容词及名词之后。例如:It is no use telling him not to worry. 常见的能用于这种结构的形容词还有:better, wonderful, enjoyable, interesting, foolish, difficult, useless, senseless, worthwhile等。 注意:important, essential, necessary等形容词不能用于上述结构。 ③ 用于There be结构中。例如: There is no saying when he’ll come. 很难说他何时回来。 ④ 用于布告形式的省略结构中。例如: No smoking ( = No smoking is allowed (here) ). No parking. 常见题型: 1)动名词做主语时,谓语动词为单数 2)在动名词和不定式中,作为介词的宾语是动名词 3)动名词的否定直接在其前加否定词,通过代词的宾格或所有格形式给出逻辑主语 3.find的用法 find意为“找到;发现”,常见用法有: ① find +名词或代词 ② find +宾语+宾语补足语(宾补可以是现在分词、过去分词、形容词、名词、介词短语、不带to的动词不定式等) 本课重点学习find + n. + a. 如:He finds watching English movies frustrating. ③ find + it(形式宾语)+ a.(形容词宾语补足语)+ to do sth.(真正宾语) 如:上文的句子也可写成: He finds it frustrating to watch English movies. 4.not … at all的用法 not … at all意为“根本不,全然不”;not用在谓语部分,at all一般放在句尾,用来加强语气。例如: I don’t like football at all. 我一点儿也不喜欢踢足球。 5.get excited about 意为“对……感到兴奋/激动”,后接名词、代词或动名词,也可用“be excited about”。但“get”强调动作变化的过程,“be”表示一种状态。 6.end up 表示“以……结束”其后接动名词或介词短语,不能接动词不定式。 “end up with”也表示“以……结束,以……告终”,但其后常接名词或代词。 二、拓展内容 by的用法小结 1.“方法或手段”,意为“通过;用……的方法”。 I study for a test by working with friends. 我通过和朋友们一起学习来参加考试。 2.“以(某种方式),通过”。 Don’t judge a man by his clothes. 不要以衣着取人。 3.“通过……方式,传递的方式”等。 We went to Europe by water and returned by air. 我们乘船到欧洲去,坐飞机回来。 Shall I tell you the result by letter or by telephone? 我是写信还是打电话把结果告诉你? What do you mean by that? 你是什么意思? 4.“在身边,在手头”。 Have you got any money by you? 你身上带钱了吗? 5.“(时间)不迟于……,到……时为止,在……之前”。 You must hand in your homework by tomorrow afternoon. 你们最迟明天下午要交作业。 6.“凭借;靠;用;通过”。 She made a living by working as a waitress. 她靠当侍者谋生。 7.“由于……的结果,凭着”。 I’m sorry I took your umbrella by mistake. 对不起,我错拿了你的雨伞。 8.“被,由”。 He is reading a novel by Lu Xun. 他在读鲁迅写的一本小说。 9.“握(抓、拿)住(身体等的某部分)”。 The old man took the little girl by the hand. 那位老人牵着那个小女孩的手。 10.“在……旁边,在……附近”。 There is a house by the river. 河附近有一座房子。 Listen and take notes. 听讲解,做笔记。 Step 34 按书上3b要求布置目标语的口头表达练习,并鼓励学生说出更多表达评价的句子;可以在课文的基础上进行适当的扩展。 Ask students to practice the 3b conversation in pairs or groups and encourage them to use more structures they have learned. Practice the conversation in pairs. 结对或小组进行对话练习。 Step 35 选择几组学生表演对话,关注目标语的表达和及时表扬表达丰富的学生。 Ask several pairs to show their conversations and praise the pairs doing the good job. Listen and try to find others’ useful expressions in their conversations. 倾听,发现、欣赏并学习他人精彩的表达。 Step 36 组织学生做Activity 4的练习。 Ask students to make conversations according to the form of Activity 4. Question and answer in groups. 两两结对操练口语: 每个学生先填写自己的情况,然后从另外一个学生那里询问信息,完成表格内容。 学后活动 学习效果评价 学习内容:评价手册Test A 活动设计意图: 在综合训练中,巩固Section A重点词汇和目标语言。 教学步骤 教师行为 学生行为 Step 37 让学生完成课文和对话填空练习,利用PPT核对答案。 Ask students to fill in the blanks. Check the answers in class. Read and write. 短文填空。 Step 38 布置评价手册Test A的测试任务,然后让学生与同伴互换答卷,根据教师PPT演示的答案,进行核对。 Ask students to finish Test A by themselves. Finish Test A individually. 独立完成测试。 Step 39 布置学生讨论答案,纠正错误,建议有疑问的学生向教师或其他同学请求帮助。 Ask students to discuss the answers with their partners and correct the mistakes. Correct the mistakes, self-assess their own work, peer-assess each other’s work, and make sure they have learned what is taught in Section A well. 讨论答案,纠正错误,互评,自评,掌握Section A的学习内容。
