二、教学重难点：1、To learn to how to use the sentences to talk about sports.
2、To learn and master some difficult phrases, such as many times a day , enjoy doing sth., what about .
三、教学过程：
Step 1.Checking the preview (检查预习情况,交流预习成果，疑难问题)
Check the prevision and correct them..
Step 2. Presentation
1. T: Do you remember Millie, Sandy，Simon…？Who likes sports?
S: Simon is good at sports. T: What about Amy? What sport is Amy good at ? S: She is good at swimming.　　
2. Present the new words .
Teach volleyball, tennis…　　
Look at the pictures and learn volleyball, tennis, ”　
3. Can you play volleyball? Are you good at playing tennis? Do you enjoy playing tennis.? Students answer the questions according to the facts.　　
Step 3. Practice　　
1. T: Sports are very interesting. Students like sports very much. Please look at the pictures in part A. Do you know what sports they like? Complete the sentences.
Ask and answer about the pictures in pairs
What do /does … like doing?
2. T: It’s autumn now. What’s your favourite sport in autumn ?
S1：My favourite sport is ….
S2: I like / My favourite sport … in summer . What about you?
S3: ….
3 .Part B. Listen to the tape and answer some questions, then practice it in pairs
Step 4. Comic strip　
Eddie and Hobo are talking about sports, too. Read it and answer the following questions.
1. Does Eddie like any sports?
2. What’s his favourite sports?
3. Does Eddie really like sports？
4. What does he really like doing? How do you know?
Listen to the tape and practice it in pairs.
Talk about your favourite sport. Use the conversation on the screen as a model.
Step 5. Doing exercises
Finish some exercises on the paper.
Homework:
Recite the sentences on Page 18 and 19
Preview the new words in the page 20 and read the passage.

But let's look at football as an example: the sport can act as a bridgehead to encourage people to play other sports.
