教学目标要求
1．能够认读并正确使用新单词：achievement, southwestern, thick, include, freezing, condition, take in, succeed, challenge, in the face of, achieve, force, nature,
even though等。
2．能够学会较大数字的表述，学会用不同句式表达比较级、最高级。本部分难点是形容词比较级、最高级的不同表达句式，如：be higher than any other
mountain, be a lot bigger than, be almost as big as等。
3．能够通过大量的口头练习，把握目标语言并达到熟练运用。
4．阅读有关“攀越珠峰”的短文，体会在描述自然地理事实的过程中大数字以及形容词的比较等级的使用。
5．体会作者在阅读文章中表达的“永不放弃”的精神，通过与同伴讨论，思考在我们的生活中如何做到“永不放弃”。
