一、创设情境，切入主题
Step 1　Lead－in
Lead in by discussing the following questions：
What can you do when all of you get together？
What is useful for recording videos of the family？
When should we add a new name on the family tree？
Show some pictures of family gathering to the class.Let the students discuss the questions in groups.Then present their results in front of the class.The styles are different.They can be dialogues or reports.
二、展开过程，探究新知
Step 2　Listening
Listen to the tape and fill in the blanks with the words you hear.
1.You can ask family members to________some photos from their collections.
2.Videos can help us remember happy________.
3.We can write names，birth dates and________on the family trees.
Finish the task in class in oral.
Step 3　Reading
Read the text and answer the following questions：
1.How are most family celebrations？

Step 4　Practice

Step 5　Activities
Introduce your family gathering.Work in groups.At the same time，the teacher walks around the classroom to see if they have any questions.
Discuss for a while，then let some students come to the front to show their introductions.
Step 6　Come to “Let’s Do It！”.
Listen to the text and finish off Exercise 1 in class.Read the text and finish Exercise 2.
