Step1 Reading before class
Ask the students to read the new words
Step 2 Checking and revision

Step3Presentation
1.Use items of teachers and students to present possessive adjectives and pronouns. Teacher says: Where’s my pen? There’s one on the desk. Is this my pen? Let me have a look. Oh, no. It isn’t my pen. It’s not mine. Whose pen is this? Guide students to answer It’s…’s. Then teacher says Oh, it’s his/her pen. It’s his/hers.
2.Present other nouns in the same way: our、ours、 your、 yours、 their、 theirs its .
3.Teacher explains to students: We use possessive adjectives and pronouns to show that something belongs to someone or something.
4.Guide students to learn examples and tables, try to understand the difference between possessive adjectives and pronouns. Guide the students to finish off the blanks.
5.Workout the rule.
Step4 Practice
Guide students to finish the exercise in Part B. Teacher says: Look at the picture. The students have some new books from the bookshop, but their books are mixed up. Can you find the owner of each book? Complete their conversation.
Step5Revelation
Work in groups, make up dialogues.
Then ask some groups to act in front of the class.
