Unit 1 I was born in a small village. 一、 教材内容分析:本模块以过去的生活为话题,要求学生掌握含有be动词(was,were)的一般过去式的句子,并能谈论自己、他人过去的生活。 二、教学目标:1.be动词的一般过去时 2.运用be动词谈论自己或他人过去的生活 三、教学重难点:运用be动词谈论自己或他人过去的生活 四、教学过程: (一)新课导入: 1.以《Yesterday Once More》这首经典的英文怀旧歌曲,引入今天要谈论的话题“My past life”. 2.出示我女儿的照片,顺利引出句型:I was bron in 1980. I was born in a small village in Weifang. 在介绍女儿时,顺便玩一个“guessing game”的游戏。在游戏同时引出一般过去时的一般疑问句:Was she born in 2007? Was she born in Weifang? 及其肯定、否定回答:Yes, she was./No, she wasn’t. 3.让学生在感知新句型的基础上进行模仿操练(结对练习): A:Where werw you born ? B:I was born in…… A:When were you born? B:I was born in…… 4.出示一张姚明的海报,继续练习句型When was he born? 及Where was he born?并进一步引入本单元新句型:“What is he like?”及其回答“He is friendly”等。 在感知句型的基础上,让学生模仿操练“What is your friend like?”My friend…… is friendly .”这一环节的目的是让学生进一步的熟悉句型,以达到熟练运用的目的。 5.在前三个句型的基础上,让学生形成自己关于朋友的”report”,在这一过程中逐渐形成介绍他人过去生活的雏形,使课堂逐渐接近教学目标(小组活动)。 6.出示比尔、盖茨,袁隆平和霍金的图片,并做相关介绍,本活动的目的是要建立意义与所指之间的直接联系,属于信息辨认活动,是为输出活动做准备。 (二)听力训练: Listen and match 1. Where were you born? a. strict,nice 2. What was the name of your first school? b. Jamie,Kate 3. What was the name of your first teacher? c. in a small town 4. What was he/she like? d. friendly,naughty 5. Who were your first friends? e. Ms Fairbanks 6. What were they like? f. John Adama Primary School 在进行此环节前,让学生浏览问题与答案,听完后,进行全班核对。 (三)对话处理 1.读前听.Listen and choose 1) Where was Lingling born? A. Sichuan Province B. Shanxi Province 2) Where was Tony born? A. England B. America 3) Whose first teacher was Mrs Lane? A. Lingling’s B. Tony’s 4)What was Ms Yao like? A. Friendly B. Naughty 2.再听.Listen again and choose 1) Was Lingling born in Xucun? A. Yes, she was. B. No, she wasn’t. 2) Was Tony’s first school in Cambridge ?A. Yes, it was. B. No, it wasn’t. 3) Was his teacher’s name Ms Li ?A. Yes, it was. B. No, it wasn’t. 4) Was Ms Li Lingling’s teacher ?A. Yes, she was. B. No, she wasn’t. 5) Was Ms Yao very friendly A. Yes, she was. B. No, she wasn’t. 6) Were Becky and Adam Tony’s friends ? A. Yes, they were. B. No, they weren’t. 7) Were Adam and Tony well-behave d ? A. Yes, they were. B. No, they weren’t. 8) Was Tony naughty at school? A. Yes, he was. B. No, he wasn’t. 本活动是上一活动的延续,听完后全班核对答案。 3.听后读 1)Read and find out language points: What was she like ? 她是一个怎样的人? What +be+主语+like? (提问个性,性格) What+do/does/+主语+look like?(提问长相,外貌) 2)Read in roles. 4.学以致用 Work in groups and make a report“My past life”. 学习的目的是应用,因此在完成以上活动的基础上,让学生小组活动,达到学以致用的目的。 (四)当堂检测: 一 根据句意及提示补全单词 1.
