Unit 1 I was born in a small village.
一、 教材内容分析：本模块以过去的生活为话题，要求学生掌握含有be动词(was,were)的一般过去式的句子，并能谈论自己、他人过去的生活。
二、教学目标：1.be动词的一般过去时
2.运用be动词谈论自己或他人过去的生活
三、教学重难点：运用be动词谈论自己或他人过去的生活
四、教学过程：
（一）新课导入：
1.以《Yesterday Once More》这首经典的英文怀旧歌曲，引入今天要谈论的话题“My past life”.
2.出示我女儿的照片，顺利引出句型：I was bron in 1980.
I was born in a small village in Weifang.
在介绍女儿时，顺便玩一个“guessing game”的游戏。在游戏同时引出一般过去时的一般疑问句：Was she born in 2007?
Was she born in Weifang?
及其肯定、否定回答：Yes, she was./No, she wasn’t.
3.让学生在感知新句型的基础上进行模仿操练（结对练习）：
A:Where werw you born ?
B:I was born in……
A:When were you born?
B:I was born in……
4.出示一张姚明的海报，继续练习句型When was he born? 及Where was he born?并进一步引入本单元新句型：“What is he like?”及其回答“He is friendly”等。
在感知句型的基础上，让学生模仿操练“What is your friend like?”My friend……
is friendly .”这一环节的目的是让学生进一步的熟悉句型，以达到熟练运用的目的。
5.在前三个句型的基础上，让学生形成自己关于朋友的”report”,在这一过程中逐渐形成介绍他人过去生活的雏形，使课堂逐渐接近教学目标（小组活动）。
6.出示比尔、盖茨，袁隆平和霍金的图片，并做相关介绍，本活动的目的是要建立意义与所指之间的直接联系，属于信息辨认活动，是为输出活动做准备。
