教学目标
1.The words and expressions that must be grasped : lock, key, but, improve
2. Enable the students to tell others their ambitions in English and learn to write a diary about their ambitions.
3.Help the students to learn that hard work helps to reach one’s goal.

Step1. Lead in
Ask the students to talk about their ambitions.
T: Boy and girls, yesterday I asked you to write a short passage about your ambitions. Now please exchange your ambition with your group members so that you can also learn others’ ambitions.
Step 2:Come to “THINK ABOUT IT”
Work in group and talk about it,then answer them.
Step3.Listening
1.Listen to the passage and correct pronunciation,understand the meaning of the passage，then fill in the blanks.
2.Listen to the passage and answers some questions. (Listening once or three times for finishing off number 2 of Let’s Do It.)
Step 4: Reading
.Read the lesson and answer the questions. (At first, read the questions and know the meaning. Second, read the passage silently and find the answers to the questions. )
Q1. What is the e-mail about ?
Q2. What is Liming’s goal?
Q3 What is the main thing to think about when you choose a job?
Step 5. Read the lesson and find out the phrases.
Then ask them to explain the key phrases

At last, Write down something important on your notebook and explain.
Step6. Pair work
Work in groups. Ask the students to write a letter to their parents. Tell them about your ambition and tell them how you will reach your goal. You may use these expressions: My ambition is to____. I hope to____. I want to____.
