The PRC stand for China, my homeland. China, one of the ancient countries, has become a modern country. In the past 70 years or so, there have been great changes in China. Since the mid-1980s, China have made rapid progress in sports and games. Chinese athletes went to different countries to take part in the Olympic Games. They competed against the athletes from other countries for medals. It is a responsibility as well as an honour to host the Olympic Games. Stadiums and gymnasiums for the spots events and a special village was built for the athletes. The 2008 Summer Olympic Games was held in China, and the 2022 Winter Olympic Games will be held in China as well. By then, athletes from all over the world will come to China for different events. It is a chance for them to get a better understanding of China.
