B Let’s talk & Let’s play 说课稿

Good morning, everybody! My name’s Ru Xiaojie. I am from Cao Zhuang primary school in Kouzi town. I’m glad to interpret my teaching design here. The teaching content is Part B of Unit2 What time is it? of PEP Primary English. This lesson includes two parts: Let’s talk and let’s play.
Now, I will explain the lesson from the following aspects.
Firstly, let’s focus on the teaching material.
This unit is mainly about time.It’s very important. This lesson is the third period .The last two periods are :Part A Let’s talk&Let’s play. It’s to grasp the main sentence:What time is it? It’s...o’clock. It’s time for dinner.And Part A Let’s Learn&Let’s do. It’s to grasp the words and phrases:English class,music class,PE class,breakfast,lunch and dinner.The sentence:It’s time for....Today I will talk about Part B Let’s talk.Trough Mike gets up to school in the morning,make students understand the phrases:get up,go to school ,Hurry up! And apperceive the main sentence:It’s time to....Then the part of Let’s play is to practice the sentence patterns of Let’s talk between Part A and Part B:What time is it?It’s.... It’s time for/to....
Secondly, it is about the students.
Our students are in Grade 4
They are active and curious, interested in new things.
They have learnt English for one and a half years, they have known some basic English background knowledge, so the teacher should pay attention to communicate with them, providing them the chances of using language.

Thirdly, I set the following aims.
1. Knowledge aims:
Ask students to understand the phrases: get up, go to school, hurry up in the situation.
Ss Can listen, speak and read the sentence: It’ s time to.....
2. Ability aims:
The sentence can be used in a situation:
What time is it?
It 's.... It' s time for/to .....
3. Emotional aims: to cultivate the good habit of keeping time and the spirit of teamwork.
Key and difficult points:
1, Ss can listen, speak and read the phrases: get up, go to school, hurry up, and the sentence pattern: It' s time to....
2, How to use sentence pattern:
What time is it?
It 's.... It s time for/to... .

Fourthly, it talks about teaching methods.
In this lesson, I will mainly use “Task-based teaching method”, “Communicative teaching method” ,“Game teaching method”, and cooperative teaching method.

Next, let’s focus on the teaching procedures.
I will finish the lesson in 5 steps.

Step 1 Warm-up & Review
After greeting with the Students, I will begin the lesson by singing the song “Numbers 1 to 10” with actions together.And make a clock from 1 to 12 .
Purpose:
The purpose of this is to form a better English learning surrounding for the Students, and, at the same time, it provides situations to review the numbers.
Step 2 Presentation
Present phrases: get up, go to school, sentence pattern It 's time to...
I show four pictures to Ss, and Q & A activities by What time is it ?It’ s ...o' clock. It’s time for... transition to What time is it ? It ‘s.... It ‘s time to get up/go to school. Through the picture display, and through this "get up, get up,it s time to get up. ” to apperceive sentence.
Then return to the textbook, pay attention to emotion and develop thinking.
I will use some questions to guide students to guess the meaning of the dialogue , then, listen to the dialogue and understand the meaning, and to develop a good habit of keeping time.
Next,check the answers.I give them an option of”Hurry up” (A. "quickly". B. "slowly".) Ask Ss to guess the meaning of "Hurry up" by the background picture and the character. Let the students think positively and cultivate their thinking ability.

Step 3 Consolidation & Extension
This part,I set 3 tasks.
1. Read in roles
I will ask Ss to listen and read follow it, then role-play the dialogue. Let students master the correct pronunciation and intonation.
2.Play the game, "sharp eyes" to consolidate the new phrases and sentences.
3.The part of Let 's play, let students make their own clocks, two Ss in a group to make a dialogue, practice: What time is it? It' s... It 's time for/to.... The activity is to develop Students’ ability of communication, and also, their ability of cooperation will be well developed.
Step 4 Summary
Distinguish sentence patterns “ It’s time for...” and “It ‘s time to ”
表达“该做……了”
It’s time for +名词（如 dinner）
It’s time to +动词短语（ 如 go home）
ready 准备
Breakfast is ready.
I’m ready.
Hurry up. 快点。
It’s to summarize the teaching content.
Step5 Homework
1, Try to find more time proverbs and share them with your friends.
We should pay attention to emotional education and cultivate the good habit of keeping time.
2, listen and read the dialogue at least 5 times. To consolidate and review the learned knowledge and to cultivate the correct pronunciation and intonation.
