小学英语六年级上册Module 6 Festival教学设计
一、教材分析：
本模块的话题是“节日”，是学生喜闻乐见的话题，学生较为乐于学习和表达。在Unit 11 Ben, Xiaoling 和Janet谈论中国人们如何庆祝新年，拓展到中国其它节日的学习与了解上。教师应在完成基本的教学任务的基础上增加文化意识的渗透和对比，让学生积极去表达；Unit 12短文描述西方国家过圣诞节的活动，教师可就本模块内容进行相关的阅读和写作，提高学生的素质。通过中西方节日的对比学习，让学生了解西方文化，学会尊重别国的文化差异。
二、学情分析：
六年级学生已有4年学习英语的经验，积累了一定的词汇，有开口表达的欲望。特别是关于“节日”这个喜闻乐见的的话题，但他们自尊心较强，教师要为其创设一个轻松的语言环境，让他们勇于 、乐于开口表达。他们具备一定的分析能力和学习能力，在教师的引导下，能积极进行讨论和思考。之前已经学过的相关知识有：日期的表达、形容词的比较级和最高级、一般现在时态、一般将来时态、一般过去时态；学过的句型有：What is your favourite …? When is …? What do ____ usually do ….? 因此，在教学过程中要注意发挥他们的优点和特色，创设丰富的语言环境让他们综合运用语言的能力，用所学的知识完成任务，解决问题。
三、单元目标：
1、语言知识目标
(1) 词汇
学习单词和短语：their, each other, gift, lucky, lucky money, wish, Mid-autumn Festival , mooncake, moon, race, put up, share, wonderful, hurry, bring, festival, Spring Festival ,during, sound, mountain , Christmas
知道英语中有“复合词”的现象 ，学习教材中出现过的复合词。
(2) 语法
用一般现在时介绍节日。
知道will可以表示习惯，如Parents will give their children lucky money at the Spring Festival。
(3) 句型：
1）What is your favourite festival? It’s…. / I like _____ best.
2) What do people do during (the Spring Festival)？They usually…
3) When is the Spring Festival ? It’s on…
4) 用will描述习惯活动，如Parents will give their children lucky money at the Spring Festival。
(4) 日常用语：

2、语言技能目标
(1) 能就节日的时间、习俗等进行提问。
(2) 能听懂或读懂与课文难度相当的有关本模块话题的文段。
(3) 能口笔头简单介绍大家熟悉的节日，如春节、圣诞节等。
3、情感态度目标
(1) 培养学生学习英语的兴趣，勇于表达的习惯。
(2) 表达自己喜欢的节日。
4、学习策略目标
(1) 主动练习所学的内容，大胆用英语思考和回答问题。
(2). 积极与他人合作，共同完成学习任务。
(3). 能对已学知识进行观察，进行自行归纳和概括，或与老师同学进行讨论的学习策略。
(4). 能联系学习和生活实际，结合自己的生活实际积极运用英语知识进行表达和描述。
(5) 鼓励学生通过资料收集，整理资料培养自学和合作学习的习惯。
(6) 鼓励学生自主探究学习。
5、文化意识目标
通过本模块的学习，渗透西方节日介绍，在教学中潜移默化地对学生进行不同国家、不同文化、不同学习生活习惯的教育，引导学生了解和学习一些西方的人文知识。比较中西方文化的差异，借此提供机会扩大孩子们的事业，增强孩子们的文化意识。通过中西方节日对比，初步了解中西方文化差异，加强文化意识渗透，加深对本土文化认同感。

T: Here is the lucky money. During the Spring Festival, Parents will give their children some lucky money.(板书)
Because it can bring their children good luck. It’s a gift.
T：Do you give your friend lucky money ？
Ps： No.
T: Children don’t give each other lucky money
.（呈现课件） Children don’t give each other gifts， but parents will give their children some lucky money.

5.学习课文：
评价学生的讨论情况。T: All of you did a good job. Now let’s see How Chinese people celebrate the Spring Festival ？（播放金太阳课件，让学生找出对话中有关节日习俗的活动的短语）
在第一遍是认真的听，并且加深对刚才所学单词的读音。在听第二遍后回答黑板上的问题。在第三次放录音的时候，让学生跟读课文中的句子，每句之后停顿，让学生重点模仿句子的语音语调。
请学生分饰对话中的角色，朗读课文对话。
6.Role-play
Step 3 归纳小结
1、利用图片和课件引导学生说出在春节期间人们所做的事情，尝试复述和归纳课文，如：Spring Festive is usually in January or February. During the Spring Festival, people usually clean their houses, buy new clothes……
Step 4 巩固拓展
1、播放歌曲Jingle Bell ，让学生猜测节日.
T：What festival is it？
P：Christmas.
T: Yes，Christmas. （出示圣诞树，袜子）My favourite festival is Christmas.
2、承接上面，出示对话，引导学生自由编写对话（师生先做示范）

（一） 热身与准备
1. Free Talk

2．Sharp Eye：复习Unit11动词词组和Unit 11的单词
3. 听写单词。
（二） 呈现与操练
1. 承接上一话题，T：People usually do these things during Spring Festival.出示图片，问：What about these things? What festival do people usually do these things?
(呈现秋天的景色及月饼等应节等食物，引出Mid-autumn Festival
T: Do you like Mid-autumn Festival? What do you usually do ? (（小组讨论并反馈结果）
P1: We watch the moon

(老师评价，并将学生所提及的短语列于黑板上，全班朗读，学习新单词mooncake，理解词义)
2. 了解龙舟节的习俗

老师根据学生的反馈，边呈现相关图片帮助学生理解短语：

投色子，按点数所示及棋盘对应位置的提示完成活动（复习各节日名称的习俗）

1、Game：快闪图片说出单词（为后面学习复合词做铺垫）
2、出示奇妙的组合变成新单词，引出学习Word Family 1：Read the words and tell how they are made.
3、完成Word Family 2：Write three more words like these.
4、完成Word Family 3：Guess the meanings of the blue words in the sentences.

1.能按“三会” 要求掌握本节课词汇。
2.能初步理解课文，知道西方人是如何庆祝圣诞节的。
3.能用正确的语音、语调朗读课文，并完成课文后问答练习。
教学重点、难点：
1、掌握四会单词和三会单词。
2、巩固学习一般过去时的句子。
3、能够理解课文内容，尤其是从句的理解。

一、Warm-up
1、Revision（书P67 Word family 熟练由两个单词组成的复合单词）
2、Free talk：What is your favourite Festival? What do people do during the Spring Festival?
二、Presentation and practice
1、用What do people do during the Spring Festival?导出目标。
2、师生问答学习单词与动词过去式：Christmas, put up share, wonderful, hurry, bring”ham, turkey.指导学生看课文flash和听课文录音，然后观察课文插图，初步了解课文大意。
1). Look and learn（初步感知句子意思, 教授新单词）
Look at the pictures and discuss in groups, then talk about in class:
People will put up a large Christmas tree in their home.
Under the Christmas tree they put many gifts for everyone to share.
On Christmas morning the children hurry to open their gifts.
Families and friends come together on that day for a big Christmas lunch or dinner. (ham, potato, Christmas Turkey)
Everyone sings many wonderful Christmas songs.
Say out the new words and you can decorate the Christmas tree.
