CRI英语听力2012年08月合辑（文本）：Congestion-Fee-Good-Idea-for-BeijingThe Beijing municipal government says it is considering charging congestion fees in the next few years to deal with the citys heavy traffic and air pollution.Officials from the traffic authorities say they have been doing research.Beijing has adopted several measures to tackle traffic jams, including imposing restrictions on car purchases and driving as well as raising parking charges.It is estimated that the city will see 7 million cars on its roads by 2015, though many transport experts suggest the citys maximum capacity is 6.7 million.Several metropolises around the world, including Singapore, London and the New York City, have adopted the congestion fee.CRIs Su Yi had a chance to talk with He Dongquan, director of the China Sustainable Program with Energy Foundation.- 1 -
