Unit Eleven How was your school trip The fourth Period Teaching Aims: 1. Master the key words and sentences. (1) Key words Lovely, expensive, exciting, cheap, slow, fast, robot, guide, gift, everything, interested, be interested in , dark, hear (2) Sentences: Then the guide taught us how to make a model robot. All in all, it was an exciting day. Everything was about robots and I’m not interested in that. I didn’t like the trip at all. 2, Be able to describe past events through diaries. 3. Teaching procedures: Step one :warm-up 1, Greetings. 2, Revision. Check the homework. Step two: Presentation 1. Teach Activity 2a First, show some word cards and invite students to read them and say out their meanings. Then ask students to have a look at the descriptive words in 2a and explain their meanings. Have them match the words with opposite meanings individually. Invite a student to show his answers. Later check the answers with the whole class. 2. Reading.(Activities2b and 2c) First, give students several minutes to read through the two diaries silently, underline the positive adjectives and circle the negative adjectives. Then invite some students to show the words they underlined and circled. Next, lead students to read the reading material and explain some language points at the same time. All in all, it was an exciting day. 总之,这是精彩的一天。 All in all, 意为总的来说,总而言之。本短语常用于总结,讲话即将结束。 All in all 还表示总共。 (3)Everything was about robots and I’m not interested in that. 所有东西都是关于机器人的,我对那不感兴趣。 Interest 用作不可数名词时意为兴趣,关心,重要性,影响,利息,利益,厉害。用作动词时意为使发生兴趣,引起……的注意,其主语多为事或物。如:I have no interest in your plan.我对你的计划没兴趣。 Interesting 是形容词,主语通常是物。可以作表语,也可以作定语。 Interested 形容词,意为 感兴趣的,对…..感兴趣,主语通常是人,且多用于be/get/feel/become interested in 结构中。 a. be interested in sth. 对某事物感兴趣 b. be interested in doing sth,对做某事感兴趣。 (4) I didn’t like the trip at all.我一点儿也不喜欢这次旅游。 Not…..at all 意为一点儿也不 Step three: Ask students to read the two diaries again and fill in the chart in 2c.
