People in western countries use star sign to describe a persons characters. I know nowadays most students are interested in star signs. Star sign system is based on the month you were born in, rather than the year you were born in. Boys and girls, everyone has his or her own star sign. We can know more information about people by reading their star signs. It can tell us their abilities, talents and special qualities. Today our topic is star signs. Now turn to page 6. Unit 1 Star signs. Eddie and Hobo are our old friends. They are talking about star signs. Listen to the conversation carefully and then answer my question: What do Eddies stars say today? Its nice of you to bring me the newspaper, Hobo. It means Hobo is very good or kind because Hobo brings the newspaper to him. If someone helps us do something, we can say its very nice of you. The second picture. You should read your stars, Eddie. I write read your stars on the blackboard and explain it. The third picture. Wow! It says Ill have lots to eat and drink today. I wont be hungry. It tells us Hobo can eat and drink a lot today. And the last picture. Well, you shouldnt worry about not having breakfast then. Worry about (not) doing something (I write it on the blackboard and explain it) For example, she is worried about being late for class. OK. So much for this part.T: Boys and girls, do you know how many star signs there are in western star sign system? Who knows it? This boy/girl, please.S: There are 12 star signs. T: Right.
