《Unit 3 I used to be afraid of the dark Period 8》 教学目标 Talk about appearances and personalities. Talk about experiences. Listen, and write the comparison between the past and now. Talk about what you used to be like 重点难点分析及 突破措施 教学重点:Knowledge Objects In this unit, students learn to talk about how they have changed. To make students learn and grasp the structure used to, including statements and yes/no questions and short answers. (2) Ability Objects To train students' listening, speak­ing, reading and writing skills. To train students' integrating skills. (3) Moral Objects To enable students to know that everyone surely changes. If you are afraid of speaking in front of the class, encourage yourself not to be shy. More practice, and you'll feel more confident. 教学难点:To make students learn and grasp the key words and the target language. Vocabulary used to, chat, afford, patient. cause, waste, insect 突破措施:Talk about what you used to be like. 教具准备 板书 设计 Unit 2 I used to be afraid of the dark Period 6 He used to cause a lot of trouble. Answers to 3a: How was he able to change? 5 and didn't give up trying to help him 2 That's when I decide to change 4 but a recent conversation with his mother changed his life 1 Even the teacher agreed that Martin was wasting his time 3 教 学 过 程 (包括导引新课、依标导学、异步训练、达标测试、作业设计等) Step 1 Key Vocabulary Show the following vocabulary on the screen by a projector. Say the words and have students repeat several times until they can pronounce them fluently and accurately. Step 2 Section 1 Say, Liu Qing, a middle school student, didn't use to study hard at school. He usually got bad grades. Luckily, his father was very patient. He helped him to understand that it was important to do well at school. Now he is one of the top students in his class. Everyone has problems. Now you are asked to work in pairs to tell your partner about a time your parents helped you with a problem and makes notes on the textbook. Step 3 Section 2 Read and translate the title. Ask the students to look at the five blanks in the reading. Then read the text to get a general idea and fill in the blanks with sentences using the context. Some time later, ask the students to discuss their answers in pairs. Step 4 Section 3 Invite a student to read the sentences in the left column in 3a. Say, Please put these sentences into the correct place in the reading. Check the answers. Write the sentences on the blackboard. Invite a student to read the five statements in 3b. Say, Please read the text and circle "TRUE," "FALSE", or "DON'T KNOW" according to the reading. Check the answers. Step 5 Section 4 Invite a student to read and translate the sentence in the "in the past" column. Another does the same in the "Now" column. Say, Please think of things you used to do first. Then write sentences for your group. Step 6 Summary Say, This class provides us with a lot of reading as well as writing practice. And we know using context to get information. Step 7 Homework 1. Review Unit 2. 2. Finish off the task in "If you have time!" 3. Preview U nit 3. 教 学 后 记 (包括达标情况、教学得失、改进措施等)
