1. Self-learning
Read the list ,try to understand it .then pay attention to the following words and phrases.

2. Discussion and expression
Give the students four minutes to finish part B.Ask them to prepare the notes then read it to their partners.

3. Interactive study
(1) Ask them to read the passage and complete a table like above.
(2) Retell the passage with their own language.And check the answers with each other.
(3)Help the students to find out the structure of an article :
Introduction:
Say who your best friend is.
Main body:
Describe his /her appearance;
Describe his /her personality.
Conclusion
Describe his /her future plans.
4. Explanation for the new knowledge
Teach the followings and ask the students to remember them and make sentences .

5.Application
(1) Ask the students to write an article about his /her best friend,use Daniek’s article as a model.
( 2) Ask three or four students to come to the front and read his or her article aloudly.
Thinking for teaching
Some able students can write a better article, but some weak ones can’t.I’d give them more help and more chances to practise.
