Teaching aims:
1. To learn the important words:computer, mouse, connect, switch, finally, first, use,
next, save, then, again, travel, check
2. To learn the usage of what, how many.

Teaching steps:
Unit 1 How do I write my homework on the computer?
Vocabulary and listening:
1. Listen and number the words as you hear them.
①Read the words in the box and have the students repeat them chorally and individually.
②Ask them to look at the picture and decide individually if they know what any of the words refer to already.
③Ensure that they know what the words mean.
④Play the recording through while they just listen.
⑤Play it again for them to number the words, then check with a partner.
⑥Play it again for them to complete/check their answers.
⑦Call back the answers from the whole class.

2. Label the parts of the computer.
Ask the students to write the words on the parts of the computer.

②Make sure they understand their meaning.

①Ask the students to read the conversation silently. At this stage, it’s a good idea not to explain every word they don’t understand.

②Put the students into groups of four to practice the conversation.
③They should repeat it several times, changing roles each time.

②Play the recording and have them listen.
③Play the recording again, pausing for them to repeat.
10. Work in pairs. Test your partner about computers.
①Read the examples with the students.
②Ask them to look at the picture at the start of this module.
③Pair them and ask them to point at the different parts and ask and answer about them.
④Circulate and monitor their production.
