1. Review how to express the time
Use a clock then ask and answer between the teacher and students List the five types of the sentence patterns about time which we have learned in Section A
2. Group work Let students review the whole topic ,discuss and summarize the important sentence patterns in groups. The teacher chooses one student in group to read them for all .Then the whole class read the sentence patterns aloud
3. Let students listen to 3a and 3b and read after the tape Pay attention to the pronunciation and intonation Finish 3a and 3b

1. Show the word cards .lead to 1,divide the words into four groups to the pronunciation, write the vowel sounds down ton the blackboard and teach students to read them.
2. Ask students to pay attention to the pronunciation of the words in 1.Lead students to summarize the four vowel sounds according to the four groups of words and write them down ton the blackboard. Let students listen to 1 and imitate the pronunciation
3. Play a chain game Let students try to give more words to each vowel sound The more ,the better, The teacher helps them if necessary Finish 1
Work in groups to play a game called Little tadpoles look for their mothers
1. Make word cards and phonetic symbol cards Give them to the groups
2. The students who get the word cards look for the relative phonetic symbol cards quickly
3. The tadpoles who find their mothers quickly are winners. The winners will be praised
1. Let students listen to 2 and finish it, Then check the answers
2. Let students use the information in 2 to write a short passage about Michael’s daily activities.
