Ask students to describe their best friends.
Step 2 Lead-in
Step 3 Learn how to introduce people
T: OK, so much for the titles. Now I’d like you to meet Li Ming’s new English teacher. Please listen to the tape and try to get some information about the new teacher. Then do Ex1 on Page 9.
After dealing with Ex1, ask students to read the text again. They should pay more attention to the expressions of the following: (Show the following on the PowerPoint.)

Step 4 Interview
Ask students to walk around the classroom and interview one of her /his classmates. Then introduce him/her to her/his group. Teacher reminds the students of the useful expressions.
Ⅹ. Homework
Find a picture of your favorite star or teacher and introduce her /him to the whole class. The whole class will glue the pictures and sentences to a big piece of paper.
