Unit 10 I’d like some noodles. Analysis of the Teaching Material 【Curriculum requirements】 In this unit, we will learn to talk about the preference about the food and how to take an order. Also, we will learn to use the target language “ Would you like…?” to express the preference .We will use “What kind of noodles would you like? What size would you like?” to make an order. After learning, we will learn to be polite to our guests and help with each other. Analysis of the Teaching Material: This class, we will learn the true conversation in the restaurant, we will learn to offer service and make an order in the restaurant. Teaching Aims and Demands Knowledge Objects Words and phrases: large, order, size, bowl, tofu, meat, vegetables, Sentences: May I take your order? Yes, please. What kind of noodles would you like? I’d like mutton noodles. What size would you like? I’d like a large/ medium/small bowl. Ability Objects 1. Students can use the target language freely. 2. Students could take their order in the restaurant. Moral Objects Learn to use in learning and learn to practice, make students form a good eating habit. Review the words about the food. 2. Review by practicing the dialogue in pairs: A: What would you like? B: I’d like beef noodles. A: Are there any vegetables in the beef noodles? B: Yes, there are some tomatoes. Step ⅡListening 1. Work on 2a and 2b, do the listening exercises and confirm the target language. Step Ⅲ presentation. 1. Practice the dialogue in 2c according to the listening. 2. Learn the conversation in 2d. ⑴ Read the conversation and get the general meaning of it. ⑵ Explain some knowledge points of the conversation. Take your order/ have your order, a/one bowl of beef soup, two bowls of soup, gongbao chicken, mapo tofu Step Ⅳ Pair work Practice the conversation in pairs and pat attention to the target language.
