一、定位:
practice-based，做练习为主。
二、教学目标：
1. 通过多种形式的阅读活动与任务，帮助学生理解课文。
2. 指导学生运用一定的阅读理解学习策略，培养一些阅读微技能，如：寻读，找出关键信息；扫读，获取文章大意；通过构词法或上下文猜测生词大意；推断等。
三、教学环节设计:
1. Lead in
(1)Pictures talk: Mount Fuji (Japan), Maldives, Lion City (Singapore) Forbidden City (China)
(2) Look at the pictures and read materials about Asia.
2. Pre-reading
(1) Look at the photos of some famous places in China. In pairs, discuss and answer the questions.
(2) Look at the photos, the title and the sub-headings of the article on page 73. Then circle the correct answers.
3. While - reading
(1) Fast reading：Ss read the passage as fast as they can and try to find out the answers to C1.
(2) Read it again and check the answers to C1.
(3) Read for details and try to fill in the blanks in C2.
① Ss discuss in pairs and finish C2.
② Check the answers with the class.
(4) Read for details and match the people with the places they would like to visit in Shanghai. (Complete D1)
(5) Complete a conversation by using the information in the article on page 73. (Complete D2)
(6) Discuss and explain the following sentences in your own words. (Complete D3)
4. Learning
(1) Learn language points:
one of the+最高级+复数名词, love/like/enjoy/, with, be+where+句子, across
(2) Guide the Ss to learn and use them in their own speaking and writing.
5. Do exercises.
