一、定位:
practice-based，做练习为主。
二、教学目标：
1. 通过多种形式的阅读活动与任务，帮助学生理解课文。
2. 指导学生运用一定的阅读理解学习策略，培养一些阅读微技能，如：寻读，找出关键信息；扫读，获取文章大意；通过构词法或上下文猜测生词大意；推断等。
三、教学环节设计:
1. Lead in
(1)Pictures talk: Mount Fuji (Japan), Maldives, Lion City (Singapore) Forbidden City (China)
(2) Look at the pictures
2、and read materials about Asia.
2. Pre-reading
(1) Look at the photos of some famous places in China. In pairs, discuss and answer the questions.
(2) Look at the photos, the title and the sub-headings of the article on page 73. Then circle the correct answers.
3. While - reading
3、1) Fast reading：Ss read the passage as fast as they can and try to find out the answers to C1.
(2) Read it again and check the answers to C1.
(3) Read for details and try to fill in the blanks in C2.
