Unit3、4 教学内容 Keep Your Direction What would you do if you failed? Many people may choose to give up. However, the surest way to success is to keep your direction and stick to your goal . On your way to success, you must keep your direction. It is just like a lamp, guiding you in darkness and helping you overcome obstacles on your way. Otherwise, you will easily get lost or hesitate to go ahead. Direction means objectives. You can get nowhere without an objective in life. You can try to write your objective on paper and make some plans to achieve it. In this way, you will know how to arrange your time and to spend your time properly. And you should also have a belief that you are sure to succeed as long as you keep your direction all the time. Unit3 2. show you around带领某人参观 show sb. around sp. Lucy and Lily are new here. A them; around B them; off C they; around D they; around 批注:show sth. to sb./ show sb. sth. 给……看,出示…… 3. in front of the classroom building 在教室的前面(在教室的外面) 反义词为behind 批注:in the front of the classroom 在教室的前面(在教室的里面) 反义词为in/at the back of 4. 在一楼(英式英语) on the ground floor 在一楼(美式英语) on the first floor 我们住在三楼。 We live ____the third floor. 批注:注意介词 on及英美英语表达差异 5. that man in a white shirt 那个穿着白衬衫的男人 the girl under the tree 那个在树下的女孩 Who is the boy with glasses? 那个戴着眼镜的男孩是谁? 批注:介词短语做定语 6. do morning exercises做早操。 名词 exercise意为“操练,预习,做操运动”,是可数名词,复数为exercises。 We must do eye exercises every day. 我们每天必须做眼保操。 exercise意为“体育锻炼”是不可数名词。 My father takes more exercise this year.今年父亲做了更多的运动。 批注:动词 意为“锻炼运动” You should exercise every day. 你应该天天锻炼。 7. Let me see. = Let me have a look. 批注:1)have a look 注意‘a’; look 这里是n.。 see 看见,强调看到的结果。 I can see a big tree over there. look 看,强调看的动作。 Look at the tree over there. 2)let sb. do sth. 让某人做某事; 表建议。Let’s play basketball together. 8. 辨析:say, speak, tell, talk say意为“说”,强调“说的内容”。 The teacher says I am a good student.老师说我是一个好学生。 speak意为“说”,一般为不及物动词,作及物动词时后加English, Chinese等语言。 The little child can speak and walk now. 那个小孩现在会说话会走路了。 Can you speak English! 你会说英语吗? tell意为“告诉,讲述,辨别”。 He can tell the differences between the two pictures.他能分辨出这两幅图的不同点。 Mum often tells me stories before I go to sleep.妈妈经常在我睡觉之前给我讲故事。 talk作动词, 意为“谈论,交谈”。常用结构为talk with sb. /talk to sb. ,意为“ 与某人交谈”或talk (with/to sb.) about sth.意为“与(某人)谈论某事”;talk作名词,意为“报告,讲座”。 I like talking with my friends at weekends.我喜欢在周末和朋友谈心。 The teacher is talking to a boy.老师正在和一名男孩谈话。 We often talk about our study after class.我们经常在课后谈学习。 Mr. Green will give us a talk in the hall. 格林先生明天将在礼堂给我们做报告 批注:tell 有“辨别”之意。 9. information 意为“信息,资料、情报”,是不可数名词,无复数形式, 但可借助于可数名词表达数量。 a piece of information 一条信息; two pieces of information 两份情报 I get a piece of important information in today’s newspaper. 我从今天的报纸上得到一条重要信息。 批注:总结类似不可数名词:news 新闻; music 音乐 a piece of news/ music 二、重要句型Important Sentences structures 1. Which of the subjects do you like best? 你最喜欢哪门学科? = Which subject do you like best? = Which is your favorite subject? =Which subject is your favorite? 批注:which + cn.(单数) Which book do you want to buy? which of the + cn. (复数) Which of the books do you want to buy? 你最喜爱的科目是哪门? 2. What’s the date today? 询问日期 = What date is it today? It’s October 9th. 今天是十月九号。 批注:询问星期What date is it today? = What’s the day today? 3. Let’s meet at the school gate at 1:30. at表示地点: (1)用于指较小的地方。I shall wait for you at the station. (2)用于门牌号码前。He lives at 115 Zhongshan Road. 批注:in表示地点:用于指较大的地方。e.g. He lives in Shanghai. on表示地点,一般指与面或线接触,意为“在……上 e.g. The picture was hanging on the wall. 4. Your school looks beautiful. look modern看起来很现代 look young看起来年轻 批注:look 做系动词时,直接跟adj. 类似的做系动词的动词—— sound 听起来;taste 尝起来;smell 闻起来; feel 摸起来 5. I can’t hear you well. 我听不清你的话。 hear 意为“听到,听清”,强调结果; hear sb. 意为“听清楚某人讲话”。 I can’t hear you clearly. e.g. 1) Boys and girls, listen to me now. Can you hear me? 孩子们,现在听我说。你们能听清我的话吗 2) I ______ my teacher carefully, but I can’t ____ him because of the noise. A hear; listen to B hear from; listen to C listen to; hear from D listen to, hear 批注:1) listen 意为“听”强调动作; listen to sb 意为“去听某人讲话”。Listen to me carefully please. 2) sound 听起来怎么样 The music sounds beautiful. 6. Let me tell you about it. 让我告诉你有关它的情况。 tell sb. about sth. 告诉某人有关某事的情况 our English teacher tells us about the parents’ meeting. 批注:tell sb. sth. = tell sth. to sb. The twins tell us some interesting stories. = The twins tell their stories in America to us. 7. --How do you get to school? 怎样到学校? --I get to school by bike / by bus. 我骑车/坐公共汽车到学校。 =I ride a bike to school / take a bus to school. 批注:by bike/ by bus/ by car/ by sea/ by air 无冠词the 8. It takes me twenty minutes to get to school by bike. 我骑车到学校需要20分钟。 _How_ _long_ does it take you to get to school by bike? take 作“花费”解时,主语多是形式主语it, 也可以是某项活动,常用于“it takes somebody some time to do s something” 结构中,意为“花费(某人)……的时间做某事”,该结构中it 是形式主语,真正的主语是 “to do something”。例如: It took him much time to find the elephant. 他用了很长时间才找到了大象。 It took me three days to finish reading the novel.我用了3 天时间看完了那本小说。 The flight from Shanghai to Los Angeles takes more than fourteen hours. 从上海飞往洛杉矶需要十四个小时。 批注:若初三复习课,可比较 spend,cost,take, pay。 spend 的用法: 意为“花费”,其常用结构为 “人+spend+ 时间/金钱+on sth., 表示在某方面花费时间或金钱” “人+ spend +时间/金钱+(in) doing sth.,表示花费时间/金钱做某事”。 The boy spends 200yuan on books every month.那个男孩每月买书要花费200元。 I spend half an hour reading English every day. 我每天花半个小时读英语。 cost 也有“花费……”的意思,通常主语是物,宾语为金钱或时间等,cost 不用于被动语态。 常用结构:sth. cost sb. some time/ money。 That coat cost me 12yuan. 那件外衣花了我12元。 The car cost him too much. 这辆小车花了他很多钱。 The trip to Europe cost us a lot of time. 这次到欧洲花了我们相当多的时间。 9. It’s a long way from my home to the school. 从我家到学校有很长的一段路。 = I live far away from the school. 批注:live near the school. be far away (from)… 离。。。远。Our school is far away from the zoo. 10. When is it open? 它什么时候开放? open adj. be open 开放的,开着的 It’s open from 8 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. The reading room is only open in the afternoon. 阅览室只在下午开放。 批注:open v. 开(门、窗、书本、眼睛实物等) close v. 关闭 open/ close the door. 11. There are all kinds of books in the library. 我们图书馆有各种各样的图书。 all kinds of 各种各样的 批注:different kinds of 不同种类的 You can borrow different kinds of books from the library. a kind of 一种 Goldfish is a kind of pet. 12 Do you borrow books from the library? 你从图书馆借书吗? borrow sth. (from …) 向……借某物 May I borrow your book? 批注:把东西借给别人 lend sth. to sb. = lend sb. sth. I _____some books from our library. I ______ my bicycle _____Li Hua. 13. Bring me a birthday cake on your way back. 在你回来的路上带个生日蛋糕给我。 在某人回来/回家/去学校的路上 on one’s way back/home/to school On ______way to school, he saw a lovely dog. 批注:bring sb. sth. = bring sth. to sb. Unit4 一、词汇words 1. Wake vi. & vt. 醒来;唤醒 wake up 醒来 e.g. Please wake up! 快点醒! 批注:wake的过去式为woke, 属于不规则变化。 2. seldom adv. 很少,不常 e.g. He seldom go out with his friends. 批注:seldom本身就是具有否定意义的词。 3. need vt. &n. 需要 need sth./to do sth. 需要某物/需要去做某事 e.g. You need to wash your hands after using the bathroom. e.g. He needs water because he is thirsty 批注:in bad needs 急需帮助/ in need需要帮助 4. be late for 迟到 e.g. Hurry up! You will be late for school! 快点,你快迟到了! 5. start vt. &vi. 开始,着手 start to do sth=begin to do e.g. He started to do homework after dinner 6. chat vi. 聊天,闲聊 chat with sb. e.g. I like chatting with my mum. 我喜欢跟妈妈聊天。 批注:free chat译为“闲聊” 7. practise vi. &vt. &n. 练习,训练 practise doing sth. 练习做某事 e.g. He is practising playing the piano. 他正在练习弹钢琴。 批注:practise为英式书写方法,pratice为美式书写形式。 8. have a good time 过得愉快,玩的高兴 e.g. I wish you have a good time. 我希望你玩的愉快! 批注:have a good time=have fun 9. wish vt. &n 希望,祝愿,愿望 Wish to do sth. 希望做... e.g. I wish to get the first place this time. 10. luck n. 好运,幸运 e. g. I wish you have good luck! 我希望你好运! 批注:luck的形容词为lucky, lucky dog译为“幸运儿” 11. get ready for sth. 为...准备好 e.g. Do you get ready for your examinations? 你准备好你的考试了吗? 批注:get ready for sth.=be ready for sth. 12. learn vi&vt. 学习,学会 learn to do sth 学会做.../ learn from 向...学习 e.g. I learn to cook by myself when my mum is out. 妈妈不在的时候我自己学会做饭。 二、重要句型important sentences 1. Is it time for breakfast? It is time for... 到做...的时间了 e.g. It is time for lunch. 到吃午饭的时间了 批注:it is time to do sth 2. Shall we go walking in the hills? go+ doing:go running 去跑步 go fishing 去钓鱼 go camping 去野营 批注:shall用于第一人称(I, we),表建议 3. My favourite subject is English. e.g. My favourite subject(s) is (are)... 我最喜爱的科目是... 批注:favourite为英式写法,favorite为美式写法 4. I am very good at it! be good at sth 擅长... e.g. I am very good at Maths. 我非常擅长数学。 批注:be good at doing sth 5. I have a lot of friends here. A lot of... 许多... e.g. I have a lot of money. 我有许多钱。 批注:a lot of=lots of=many(much) 正确词形填空。 1. Which do you like ________ (good), volleyball badminton or basketball? 2. Mike and Ben are classmates._______ (they) favourite subject is Maths. 3. The boy has lots of _____ (friend) here at Nanjing No.2 Middle School. And they are very ______ (friend) to him. 4.
