■Warm up by doing language practice
On page 68 at the top there are five sentences containing who and which clauses. Now read them and make a study into their structures. Make similar sentences of your own.
1. He's the photographer who won the competition last time!
2. I got some great shots of the boy who plays the guitar on the left.
3. The photo which we liked best was taken by Zhao Min.
4. It successfully shows the rich culture which makes Beijing so famous.
5. A collection of photos called the “Many Faces of Our City” which features Beijing won the prize for the “Most Unusual” category.

A famous portrait
Portraits can change the way we think about people. This portrait of Wang Hua was drawn by Ma Liwei on her trip to Datong, her hometown. Even though now we can see many portraits of hers, at that time, people weren’t used to seeing portraits like this. It made people think about how small and unimportant the man was and how we need to improve and take care of himself. It has been called the most important descriptive portrait ever drawn. What do you think of?
