Step 1 Lead-in
Show the Ss a flash and ask the Ss if they went to any places of interest and had a good time during their summer vacation.
Step 2. Presentation
Show the PowerPoint for Ss to learn the new irregular verbs and the negative form of the simple present
Step 3 Listening
1.Get the Ss to listen to the tape ,and give them two questions to answer. Then ask them to finish the listening exercises. And get the Ss to check the answers.
Step 4. Practice
Give the Ss some exercises. And get the Ss to help each other in pairs.
Ss watch the flash and talk about their travel.

Ss share one of their vacations in groups and write down a short passage about one of their group mates and work in groups to check if there are any mistakes.
Make the Ss understand the importance of the cooperation and improve their writing abilities of describing past events
