Step 1. Revision and lead in.
Show students some colors by overhead projector.
And then Write black, red, yellow, blue, green, white on the left of the blackboard. Read them aloud and ask the students to repeat. Then let some students to read these words in groups. Hold up a long pen and a short one, help students say long and short, and then teach big and small in the same way.
Step 2. Listening Practice in pairs
Ask the students to do listening to the dialogue about 2a, 2b (P42) and circle the things they hear.
Play the recording for the first time. Listen carefully and circle the things you hear.
Play the recording for the second time. Ask the students to fill in the price tags.
Then check the answers.
Ask students to listen and repeat after the recording. Then ask and answer questions about the things in 2a in pairs. Show the answers on the screen.
Now go on practicing conversations about some things in 2a in the same way. Then have some students in pairs to act out the conversations to the class.
Step 3. Grammar Focus
Ask students to read the sentences in the grammar box in pairs. And then ask them to make conversations using target language to ask about the things in the classroom.
Step 4. Summing up and have a test
Ask some students to sum up this lesson. Then look at the overhead projector and finish off all the test
Revision.
Review the words abouts colors.
Do some listening.
Write the prices.
Fill in the tags.
Practice in pairs.
Read in pairs.
