The Second Period Listening
I. Teaching aims:
1. Learn what they can do and what not to do.
2. Master some new words: watch, TV, listen, fly, ride, smoke
II. Teaching procedures:
1, Revision
(1) With the pictures, revise the words learnt in the first period.
(2) Ask several pairs to act out their dialogues.
2. Presentation
With the pictures, present:
watch watch TV listen listen to music
fly fly kites ride ride a bike
smoke
Read, spell and write the new words.
3. Ask and answer. (T---Ss)
T: Can you listen to music in class.
Ss: No, we can’t.
T: Can I look at your Chinese book?
Ss: Yes, you can.
T: Can you play football in the street?
Ss: No, we can’t.
T: It’s dangerous.
4. Listen and tick.
(1) Listen to the tape with the books closed.
(2) Ss tell the meaning.
(3) Book open, play the tape again. Ss listen and tick.
5. Revise the Negative Imperative Sentences.
