1) Train the students’ listening ability.
2) Train the students’ ability to understand the target language in spoken conversation.
Step 2 Leading in
Let the Ss discuss their favorite band. Then answer the following questions in activity 1.
1. What is your favorite band ? __________________________________
2. Have you seen them in concert yet ? ___________________________
3. When did you first hear them ?
________________________
4. Who is your favorite band member ? __________________________
设计意图:通过口语练习,为学生营造轻松的学习氛围,又引出新课。
Step 3 Listening
Point to the picture in 2a and ask students to tell what is happening. If necessary, explain that a record agent is interviewing members of a band.
Get the Ss to go through the chart.
Play the tape. Students only listen for the first time.
Play the tape again. Ask students to fill in the information about the band.
Check the answers with the whole class.
Then play the tape again, ask students to check the things the band has already done in 2b. Explain the key phrases.
Check the answers.
设计意图:学生通过听力练习,进一步熟悉本课的目标语言。
Step 4 Group work
Point to the sample conversation. Invite two students to read it to the class.
Get students to work in pairs. Move around the room checking the progress of the pairs and offering help as needed.
Ask one or two pairs to say their conversations to the class.
设计意图:让学生合作学习,互相交流。

亮点:
本节课通过学生自主学习、合作探究,教师引导点播的方式,充分训练了学生的听力水平,课堂设计中,教师始终充当学生学习的引导者,主要以学生的学为主,教师只负责答疑解惑,学习效果的检查,充分体现了课堂教学以学生的学为主体,教师的教为主导的课堂教学新理念。
教学反思:这节课学生认为比较简单,但是对于听力还需要进一步练习。
