Step1 Reading

Talk about:
1. Which words have one syllable.
2. Which words have two syllables?
3. Which words have three syllables?
Step 2 Listening
1.Listen to some words, Write down the number of syllables in each word in the blanks.
2. Work in pairs, Match the syllables to make six two-syllable words. Then practice saying the words.
3. Listen to the singular and plural forms of the words below. Tick the box if you hear an extra syllable in the plural form.
Step3 Discussion
Ss discuss in groups how to some new words.
Step4 Exercises:
Do some exercises on page140.
