1.what did you think about America before this class?
答案:I have not gone to the America before, but in mine impression the America is a politics and the economical very formidable country, the science and technology is also very developed, there person pays great attention the freedom of speech and the person equality, the independent consciousness is very strong, will not trust the parents or other people.I appreciate US's educational pattern very much, that is one kind of open style education, can raise person's creative thinking and the logical thinking, the practical ability is also very strong, US's children is very willing to ponder in the television, beginning ability is also very strong, is also direct with parents' communication way, the parents look like to the child with the friend are the same, the guidance is more than teaches, does not resemble China's parents very much to spoil generally to the children, teaches, I thought that US's educational pattern is worth our country study very much.
I like the America, sometimes also yearns for the America, yearns for such study and the living conditions, but sometimes not too likes, because always saw they dispatch troops to its country for some kind of reason, the initiation war's gunsmoke, no matter what, I most like our national - - China, because our country touch of humanity is very thick, emphasizes peace, more importantly my parents, my brother, the friends of mine in here, here are I live me to raise my place.
2.What do you think about America now? Did you perception change? If yes ,then how did it change ?
答案:No one can deny USA is the most powerfull nation in the world, the most influent as well. I'll be honoured to critisize "America" which becomes the dream Land of the most youth people in the world! And everybody knows that it is the land of freedom and democracy, and the greatness of this country is the fruit of the work of the entire american nation...Then fact that the american are hated by many people around the world is due to the political desicions which are not necessarily the decisions of the american themselves. As said: "it is the land of freedom and democracy" but I always wonder; where is the democracy if the government do what Americans themselves are against it? I'm againt the freedom that allows people to own legally"fatal tools such as the gun! against the freedom that deletes your right to have a private life . show you with your underwears in your home at Yellow press (or something like that), against allowing teenagers to have the right for driving under the age of (-18).. is that right?I'm also against using teens as naked models in special sites for . maybe I'm extremist but I'm also against allowing every two to stay in the same room in hotels nomatter they have a relationship or "lovers of the night".but I also like America because they advocate freedom and sensitive to human rights. They value democracy which is essential to human liberty, volition, and freedom of speech. They respect your religion, whatever you have as long as you don't kill and terrorize other people and as long as your religion doesn't teach you to kill innocent people. It is a country of multi-culture or the melting pot of the world.I think if there is something wrong with the impression of America probably it is rooted on the person who runs it or the administration who manages. But America as a whole, established and built its governance by the people and for the people. This is my personal opinion of the America.
Yes,it’s changed. carry on with the strategy, tougher punishment, better education, better treatment, better cordination across government .
3. What is one new thing that you learned about America from this class?
答案:I learned the things from this chass that about the three differences between America and China.
First: Differences in Logics
Chinese emphasize on integrity whereas American focus on individuals. This essential difference is deeply rooted in both cultures. For China, the most important thing is the collective. Individual needs must commit to the collective needs at all the time, sometimes one must sacrifice his or her own goal for the whole. At the opposite, in the Western societies, everyone is focusing on his or her own goals and needs the most. For example, family as a whole is very important to all Eastern people, but it is a very vague concept in the Western society as everyone asks for their own personal time the most competitions, as another example, Eastern countries will encourage competitors to continue to compete even they are wounded, because the goal of the collective needs them to sacrifice, but this would never happen in a Western country as they emphasize on individual’s needs, which is being healthy.
Second:Differences in Educations
The difference in education is substantial as well. In China, children having a good education are of importance. Parents are willing to spend all of their income to give their children the best education. But this is never happened in America. They believes that children have the best creativity, having the ability to explore what they love and what they have interest in, and based on the interest, they will study on it very well. In other words, in Chinese families, parents will plan for their children, persuading them to study in programs that have high income, bright future, as well as easy to find jobs, whereas children from American families create their life on their own, which again emphasizing on fostering the individual capability.
Third:Differences in Personal Privacy
Chinese are indifferent to privacy mentality, holding that individuals belong to groups and striving for fraternal unity and concern between each other. For this reason, Chinese people is more often than not willing to understand joys and sorrows of others and the counterpart is willing to reveal one’s innermost feelings frankly. While American people attach great importance to personal privacy, stressing individual space, being unwilling to mention too many personal affairs to others, let alone the interference of others. Therefore, conflicts on privacy often occur between Chinese and Americans. For instance, at the meeting for the first time, easterners often make inquires of other’s age, marital status, children, occupation and even income. For easterners, this is of courtesy, but for westerners, these questions infringe their privacy.
Extracredit: what does the future of china look like ?where do you see china headed?---politically ---economically-----socially
答案:As we Chinese all know,China is a great country with a long history of more than 5 thousand years, and it was one of the forth ancient civilized countries.During the Han Dynasty,Tang Dynasty and the period of Kangxi emperor,China was the most powerful country in the world.Chinese people are patriotic, brave and hard-working,constructing and protecting their country. As time goes on,and with the efforts of the Chinese people,China has developed into a great civilized country with a population of 1.3 billion and an area of 9.6 million square kilometres.Nowadays the economy of China is developing steadily and rapidly, and Chinese people are enjoying a happy live, which is spoken highly of by the world. What's more,China is playing an important role in the world stage.I believe under the leadership of the Communist Party,China will become more powerful and get on well with the world, and will have a bright future.
As far as I am concerned , China will have huge changes .
Economically, China may surpass other countries in GDP, and become the first or second powerful country in the world. People will have a much better life than today, and all the children will get chances of good education.
Politically, China will be more respected by other countries, it may develop friendly relationship with more countries and exert a stronger influence in the international political environment. In addition, China will play a major role in the world affairs and shoulder more international obligations.
Environmentally, Chinese government may take tougher measures to combat pollution. people will be more aware of the importance of environment protection. All vehicles may be transformed into fuel-efficient model so as to reduce the emission.
In sports, China may go further to compete with U.S.A in order to become the No.1 in the Olympic Games.More people will be engaged in different sports after years of promotion of the national fitness program.
这后面是第二个问:
I think the headed of china is shanghai.
A Report on the competitiveness of Chinese cities “was released recently in Beijing, whereby, Shanghai ranks first in terms of development potential, followed by Beijing and Shenzhen.
The report is compiled by 100 Chinese experts, headed by Niu Wenyuan, on behalf of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS). This result is similar to that of another independent research done by a group headed by Dr. Ni Pengfei from the Institute of Finance and Trade under the CASS. According to Niu
and Ni, the 4 cities of Guangzhou, Suzhou, Tianjin and Nanjing are also among the 10 most competitive cities in China.
The mainland of China has 668 cities and over 20 000 villages, home to some 500 million inhabitants (39% of the total population).Being the largest city and economic center of China, Shanghai outweighs the other in the areas of economic production, urban infrastructure, material resources, and level of industrialization.
However, Beijing ranks first by number of universities, research institutions, trained personnel and international centers of research and development.
Moreover, Beijing Shanghai and Shenzhen top in terms of the length of the telephone numbers of mobile phones and Internet.
cities along the Bohai Bay, the delta of Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River are the three metropolitan areas of China, which accelerate the economic development of its surroundings.
These three regions account for more than half the Chinese population, 80% of the value of the national economy and 90% of that of industrial production. 95% of trade affairs are conducted.
