教材分析
本课内容是九上第10模块第2单元的阅读课,根据教学大纲要求,本单元要用1 到2 个课时。本模块以澳大利亚为话题,第二单元的课文通过书信的形式描述了澳大利亚的景色,由于内容新鲜有趣,学生容易产生兴趣。主要通过阅读活动,让学生进一步感知that引导的定语从句的表达和应用,that引导的定语从句在本模块第一单元已经进行了学习,因此在本节课重点侧重于进一步感知它的实际运用。
二、 教学策略
本节课的课型以阅读为主,所以采用的通过问题启发式的任务型教学方法,注重激发学生的学习兴趣,培养学生的语言听说读写技能,通过对子活动、小组活动和独立思考,让学生合作学习,并自主探究;教师在教学过程中,注重激励性评价的应用,多鼓励和表扬,尽可能使更多的学生在语言学习中成为成功者,使学生在轻松愉快的氛围中达成学习目标。

Step1. Preview

Homework:
1. Write a letter about a visit to a place in China.(level 1and2)
First, choose a place you have visited in China.
Then, make a list of things you are going to write about: people, food, ways of life, events during the trip.
Finally, write a letter to a relative or a friend and tell them about your visit. Begin and end your letter like Tony’s.
