PEP小学英语五年级下册Unit 2 A Read and write 说课稿 Good morning, everyone! Today I’m very glad to have an opportunity to share my teaching understanding with you. This period is from Unit 2 A Read and write. After my talking, welcome your comments and suggestions. My presentation can be divided into four parts. The first part is my understanding of this lesson. The second part is Teaching theories, methods and aids. The third part is Teaching procedures. The last one is Blackboard design. First of all, I’d like to talk about my understanding about this lesson. This lesson includes two parts: read and write and Let’s play. Read and write is a dialog to develop Ss’ speaking, reading and writing abilities. So this lesson not only plays very important part in this Unit, but also has a profound effect in real communication. 1. Teaching objectives By the end of the lesson, ss should achieve: Knowledge objectives: 1). Listen, speak, read and write the four-skilled sentences: Which season do you like best? I like winter best. Summer is good, but fall is my favourite season. Ability objectives: 1). Enable to master four-skilled sentences. 2). Enable to understand Read and write and finish the questions. 3). Improve students’ reading and writing abilities. Affective objectives: 1). Let students know the meaning of some American traditional festivals. 2). Develop students’ cooperative learning ability 3). Cultivate students’ good habit in learning English. 2. Teaching important and difficult points 1. Grasp four-skilled sentences and use them in real communication fluently. 2. The difficult point is expressing the activities according to different season features. 3. How to enhance students’ reading and writing abilities. PartⅡ Teaching theories, methods and aids Before dealing with this lesson, I’ll try my best to carry out the following theories: make ss active in class while the teacher acts as organizer, guider and participant. Let ss receive more affective education while they are learning English. Teaching methods: ü Task-based teaching method ü Communicative language teaching ü Situational language teaching Learning methods: Cooperative-learning method Independent-learning method Teaching aids PPT, pictures PartⅢ Teaching procedures I have designed the following steps to train ss’ ability of listening, speaking, reading and writing, especially reading and writing abilities. The entire steps are warm-up, pre-reading, while-reading and post-reading. Step1 Warm-up 1. Sing “Let’s sing” (CAI show the song) and the Ss do the action with teacher. 2. Play the guessing game and chain game. Purpose: Let the Ss study in a relaxed atmosphere. Arouse the Ss’interest in English learning. Step2. Pre-reading 1. Word-spelling competition: teacher says a four-skilled word; the student who the first spells the word correctly will get a point for his/her group. 2. Show the pictures of four seasons to ask and answer: What season is it? It’s…. Which season do you like best? I like…best. What can you do in …? I can … (Lead activities in different seasons, eg: swim in the sea, play in the snow. The leaves are colorful. The sky is blue.) 3. Let students make a short dialog with their partners according to the pictures. Purpose: Let students be active in class, master teaching difficult points efficiently and get ready for Read and write. Step3 While-reading 1. Show pictures of seasons and ask: Which season does Mike like best? Which season does Zhang Peng like best? Which season does Amy like best? 2. Let students listen the dialog and find the answers. 3. Ask some students to answer the questions and write them on the books. 4. Listen and read “Read and write”. 5. Teacher and students role-reading the dialog. 6. Boys and girls role-reading the dialog. 7. Pair work: Ask students to work in pairs to practice the dialog. Then let some pairs to show their dialogs. Purpose: To achieve knowledge objectives and cultivate Ss’ ability of reading and speaking. Step4 Post-reading 1. Explain Halloween and Thanksgiving! (Give affective education) 2. Let’s play. 3. More related reading comprehension. Purpose: To arouse Ss’ interest of speaking and enhance reading and writing abilities. Step5.Consolidation 1. Write a similar dialog and show it with partner. 2. Do exercise book of this lesson. Purpose: To consolidate what we have learned in this period. PartⅣ Board design Unit2 A Read and write swim in the sea Which season do you like best? leaves colorful I like …. best. I can …. play in the snow Summer is good. …. is my favourite season. In my opinion, the blackboard design can reflect the teacher’s ability of mastering the teaching content and leading ss to grasp it easily. I write the useful expressions on the blackboard in order to tell the ss that these are the importance in this class. In a word, I want to make the design simple, clear and artistic.
