Teaching Procedure:
Step1. Show some pictures about the foreign culture.
Pointing to the pictures, ask the students to guess where they are and what special culture they have.
Step2. Listen to the tape for two times. While they are listening, let the students sing after it in a low voice.
Step3. Read the song as a poem. Let them find if it has rhythms.
Step4. Ask the students to know the meaning of the song with the help of the pictures.
Step5. Listen to the tape again and sing after if for several times.
Step6. Let the volunteers sing in front of the class.
Step7. Come to PROJECT.
1. List the differences between the Chinese and Chinese cultures.
Finish it in work group. Talk about the different ways in China and Canada. What are the differences between the two countries?
2. Ask the students to act short plays out in front of the class. Show what would happen in Canada and what will happen in China.
Step8. Homework
1. Finish off the exercises in activity book.
2. Go on the next reading in the student book.
