I Teaching material:

II Students ability:
The students in my class can be divided into A B C D four levels. A level students can understand teacher well and they are active in my class. B and C level students can understand, but they should be promoted. And a few students can’t listen carefully even are unwilling to. So, when I design the lesson, I should consider the different levels of them.

To get the Ss learn how to live a healthy life.

i. How to use the useful expressions in the passage freely in the writing.

Revision
Let students to be more familiar with the daily expression used in restaurant
Get some Ss to make dialogues
Lead in
Revise what food is good for our health and get the Ss to tell whose diet is good.
Ask Ss to tell whether the student in the dialogue has healthy diet or not, if necessary , choose some to answer.
Reading Skill training
By reading the passage, Ss can tell what a healthy diet should be.
Get the Ss to read the passage in more practice and show questions on the blackboard:
1. What are the five food groups?
2. Why can a lack of certain kinds of food be dangerous for children?
3. It is dangerous to eat too much of one’s favourite food. Can you give an example?
4. How can we decide what to eat?
Self-study
Give the Ss time to appreciate the wonderful sentences in the passage, and try learning to use them.
Get the Ss to underline the sentences or sentence structures they appreciate and make sentences with them.

Students read the dialogue together and do role –play exercises.
Solve the problem
Get the Ss to learn more knowledge of healthy diet and can help to deal with the problem in daily diet.

Get the Ss to finish the task by asking their classmates.

Get the Ss writing a report according to the survey they’ve made.
Attention: Your report should include the following parts:
What your classmates usually have for meals?
Are their eating habits healthy or not?
Give your opinion and suggestion
Summary
A general conclusion of the knowledge about healthy diet
Ss sum up what you have learnt in this lesson and what attitude you should bear towards the eating habit.
