Check the students’homework. 1 Ask the students to read the questions in 3b firstly,then they should read the article in 3a again, very carefully, and find the answers to the questions. Q: What does Robinson wait for? Q: What does Robinson Crusoe call the man Friday? 2 Show the following sentences and talk about the structure of present perfect tense with the students. (1) But I have found the ship and made a small boat. (2)I’ve brought back many things I can use—food and drink,tools,knives and guns. (3) I have lost everything,I haven’t lost my life. Complement Ask the students to read the sentences in the Grammer Focus firstly,then talk about the structure of present perfect tense: 1 Have you read Little Women yet? Yes,I have./No,I haven’t. 2 Has Tina read Treasure Island yet?Yes,she has./No,she hasn’t. 3 Have you dicided which book to write about yet?Yes,I have.I’ve already finished reading it.It was really good. Have the students complete 4a 4b and 4c. Fill in the blanks with the correct forms of the words in brackets. Sally (love) reading .In the morning,she reads the newspaper and in the evening she reads books .She already (read) more than 100 different books!Her favorite kind of books is sciencefiction.She is interesting in science and technology and loves to imagine what the world (be) (be)book like in 50 years.She (finish)reading a book about robots last week . Sum up infinitives in SectionA . Make sentences with past perfect tense Greet to the teacher. Students read the article in 3a. Students find the answers to the questions .
