Five-finger Teaching Plan 五指教学方案 Step 1 Review 第一步 复习(时间:7分钟) (通过师生对话导入课题。) T: Hi, S1. Do you like travelling? S1: Yes, I like it very much. T: Where have you been? S1: Mount Tai. (学生说什么地方都可以。) T: Would you like to travel to Beijing? S1: Yes, I’d love to. T: Why would you like to travel to Beijing? S1: Because there are many places of interest in Beijing. T: Could you say some places of interest in Beijing? S1: Yes, the Great wall, the Summer Palace…. (让学生尽可能多地说,其他学生也可补充。) (教师用多媒体播放北京的古城墙,其中有些古城墙已经破烂不堪。) T: Look, what are these? Ss: They are old city walls. T: Are they very beautiful? Ss: Yes. Some are very beautiful, but some are not. T: Right. Some old city walls are worn out. (板书) worn out (教师用多媒体播放工人拆墙的画面。) T: Some old city walls are worn out. Look, the workers are pulling them down. (板书) pull down (让学生猜测其含义。) T: There were many old city walls in Beijing before. But now there aren’t many. What happened to them? Now let’s study Topic 3, SectionA. Step 2 Presentation 第二步 呈现(时间:8分钟) 1. (听1a录音,感知对话的内容。) T: There used to be lots of old city walls in Beijing, but now there are only a few old city walls. Do you want to know the reason? Ss:Yes. T: Now let’s listen to the tape in 1a and find out the answer to this question. (核对答案) 2. (默读对话,理解短文内容。) T: From listening, We know only a few old city walls remain now because people pulled lots of them down in the 1960s. Now read the dialog again and answer the following questions: (板书) 1. How old are the old city walls? 2. There are many old city walls in Beijing, aren’t there? 3. Why did people pull the old city walls down in the 1960s? 4. What is the government doing about the old city walls? (两分钟后挑几组学生进行问答。) Step 3 Consolidation 第三步 巩固(时间:15分钟) 1. (跟读1a,模仿语音和语调,并画出关键词句。) T: Let’s read 1a after the tape. Pay attention to your pronunciation and intonation. And underline the key words. S1: Maybe many tall buildings are standing there. T: What should we do about the old city walls ? S1: We should protect them. T: Why do you think so? S1: Because many people will visit them. (3) It is in France. It was built for the International Exhibition of Paris in 1889. (4) It stands in New York. It was a gift from France. 3. Master the usage of Tag Questions: (1) You visited Emperor Qin’s Terracotta Warriors last week, didn’t you? (2) The builders used live models, didn’t they? (3) There are many treasures in Qin Shihuang’s Underground Palace, aren’t there? 4. Talking about Measurement: (1) The Xi’an City Wall is about 13.7 kilometers long. (2) It is 12 meters high. S1:I saw some old city walls and many modern buildings and roads. T: Are there many old city walls in Beijing now? S1:No, there aren’t. T: What happened to them? S1:People pulled lots of them down in the 1960s. T: Why did people pull them down? S1:Because people thought them useless and some of them were worn out. They made the traffic heavier and the streets more crowded. T: Are you for it? S1:No, I am not. T: Why are you against it? S1:Because the old city walls make the city more beautiful. They attract many visitors and we can learn a lot from them about history and people. (教师示范对话后,让学生分小组练习,两分钟后挑几组学生进行表演。) T: You performed pretty well. Where else can you find the old city walls? The builders used live models to make the warriors, and many people believe there are lots of treasures there. The places of interest make the city more beautiful. They can also help us learn a lot about history and people. So we should protect them.
