Chapter 2 A day in the life of … Whiz-kid Wendy 教学目标: Something about your daily life, new words on page 18-19. Talk about your daily life with the help of the pictures. Be active in your life. 教学重点: The new words 教学难点: daily life expressions 教学方法: The communicative method. 教学用具: A tape recorder; the multimedia 教学过程 Revision: Say something about what you do every day. Presentition: 1.Look at page 18 in your book. Look at the pictures and think about your daily life. Which of these tings do you do every day? / do once or twice a week? /never do? Help the students to look through the pictures and answer the questions, meanwhile remember the useful phrases. The suitable answers should be like: I never ride a mkotor bike. I mlean my teeth every day. 2. Before we read the article on the next page, look at the title, the svutitle and the picurres. Choose the right answers. 3. Listen carefully to the tape for the first time, try to catch the main idea of the passage. And then read by yourself and mark the new words for you no matter whether they are really new or old in our book. Practice: 1. Practise the daily activities in English. Remember these useful phrases: clean my teeth; play the piano; ride a motor bike 2. Find the answers to the four questions, try to find the function of the title and subtitle of a passage. 3. First listen to the tape about the passage, then read it by yourself. Find the new words for you. Drill: After listening and reading the passage, as well as dealing with the new words, look through the exercises on page 21, do them by yourself to check if you can understand the passage well. Check the answers after they have found theirs. Mention the students to be used to looking through the questions in English. 课堂小结: 1. Learn to wholely understand the passage. 2. Remember the useful phrases. 作业: 1. Write complete sentences with the nine pictures on page 18. 2. Make sentences with the useful phrases in this period. 3.
