Teaching procedure:
Step1 Class Opening
1.Greetings
T: Good morning, class. How are you today?
Have you ever been to a summer camp?
What was it like?
2. Review some of the key importance from Lesson 47.
Step2 present
Instruct the students to read the title of Lesson48
Teacher :Who do you think is in the picture? Help the students answer the questions
Students: It is Li Ming planting rice/doing farm work
Teacher: That’s right.Li Ming has a great plan for summer. He is going to be an exchange student.
Have any of you been an exchange student?
Step3 Read
1. Instruct the students to read Lesson48 to themselves, and try to answer the true-or-false questions
2. Upon completion, students should check and correct their answers in groups.
3. Discuss the answers as a class
Step 3:Listen
1）play the audiotape for Lesson 48. play it once and ask the students to listen
2) play the tape a second time and ask the students to tick the correct answers
3) check the answers as a class.
Step4 practice
Group Work Let’s Do It! No.3
1) ask the students to answer the questions using”will” or “be going to”
2) have the students review these answers as a class
3) Write any problem words on the Bb

1) Assign homework
2) Have a few of them read their homework the next class
