Step 1 Lead in
1. 师生自由对话导入。
T：Isn’t it strange? Are you afraid? What do you think it is? S:-----
T：There are many ghost stories in Chinese history. You must have read some, right? Do you want to read a modern ghost story?

2. 让学生学会从标题和图片中寻找有效信息。
Step 2 Presentation
1． 教师播放录音：Now here’s the story. Listen carefully and tell me what the ghost was.让学生听录音，回答问题：The ghost was a little cat.
2． 全体一起朗读文章，提出关于文章主要内容的问题：
(1) Where did the whisper come from?
(2) Who found the “ghost”？
Step 3 Practice
1． 学生完成B3部分的正误判断练习。
2． 学生两人一组，完成B2部分的排序练习。
3． 教师补充练习：首字母填空。
Step 4 Act out
1.让学生两人一组，一人扮演校报小记者，另一人扮演Andy, 进行一次采访。
(1) When did Millie and Amy go to Sunshine Park?
(2) What did they hear?
(3) Were they afraid?
(4) What did they tell you?
(5) What did you find?
(6) Who made the sound?
(7) Why did the little cat sound like a ghost?
(8) Where’s the little cat now?

2．学生上台表演他们的对话。
