B: We should tell them the importance of planting trees and plant more trees. 6.语言知识点的归纳整理。 (1)关于turn的短语 ·turn on打开,发动. ►Would you please turn the TV on? ·turn off 关闭 关掉. ►Could you please turn off the light? ·turn up 开大(一般情况下指调节音量大小,灯光明暗,或煤气大小等);出现。 ►Turn the radio up please, I can’t hear it clearly.;turn up还表示“出现”。 ►We settled to meet at 7:30 at the cinema, but he didn’t turn up. ·turn down 关小;调低;拒绝。 ►So we have to turn down the other a little bit.;turn down 还表示“拒绝”。 ►How can you turn down such a poor little girl. ·take turns依次,轮流。 ►Let’s take turns fill the bottles with water. ·turn back折回;往回走。 ►Suddenly, he turned back running to me. ·turn out生产;驱逐;翻转;结果是。 ► It didn’t exactly turn out as I planned.结局并不是我计划的那样。 (2)It is + adj.(for sb.)+to do sth. ► It’s hard to stop riding in cars. ► It’s difficult for parents with young children to use public transportation. (3)stop to do sth. 与stop doing sth.的区别 ·stop doing sth是“停止做某事”,doing是stop 的宾语,是要停止的动作。 ► The two girls stopped talking when they saw me. 那两个女孩一见到我就停止了讲话。 ·stop to do sth 是“停下来开始做某事”,to do是stop的状语,表示目的,是要开始做的事情。 ►The two girls stopped to talk to me when they saw me. 这两个女孩一看到我就停下来和我讲话。 Ⅳ.实践 应用 分小组讨论如何保护环境,保护我们的地球。 A: People are cutting down too many trees. What should we do? B: We should tell them the importance of planting trees and plant more trees. A: We really shouldn’t use paper napkins, you know. B: I know. I stopped using them last year.
