2)Sentence structures : Do you……..May I ………? Can I ……….?
Difficult Points:
1)To use personal pronouns (subject form) .
2)To use the verb ‘to do’ in questions.
3)To ask for permission and favours.
4)To make requests.
5)To use vocabulary to talk about leisure activities.
6)To use appropriate intonation for ‘Yes’/’No’ questions.

Step 3: Practice
1)Get students to say their likes and dislikes.
They should say one by one.
S1: I like watching TV.
S2: He/She likes watching TV.

S3: He likes playing football.
I don’t like going fishing.
S4: She doesn’t likes going fishing.
I like shopping. etc
Students should use the subject form and verb form correctly.
Step 4: Practice
1) Students go over the conversation in the ‘speak up’.
They should make up a new conversation using ‘can’ and ‘may’.
Explain that they use ‘may’ and ‘can’ here for permission.
It’s more polite to use ‘may’ than ‘can’.
2) Do some exercises.
Fill in the blanks with ‘may’ or ‘can’.
