Is it far away from our school? How do you go to school every day? How long does it take? Ss:… T: Look at our school! Where’s the playground? Where’s the library? Ss:… Step 2 Presentation 1. Show a picture of a zoo. Ask students T: Where does Millie want to go this Saturday? Does she want to visit the zoo/cinema/park? Present new words: zoo , visit 2. T: What can you see in a zoo? Ss: we can see … T: Can you see …? Ss: Yes, …can./ No,… can’t. New words: animal, bear, panda, elephant, monkey, tiger 3. show a picture of z museum. Ask students T: Where does Nick want to visit this Saturday? What can he learn there? Ss: … Present new words: museum, sun, moon, star Step 3 Practice 1. Ask students to read the dialogue together. Then get them read it in different roles. 2. Get students to make conversations with their partners. Ask students make dialogue like this: S1: excuse me, where do you want to go on Saturday? S2: I want to go to the library. S1: How do you get there? S2: By bus. S1: What can you do there? S2: I can read many interesting books there. Step 4 Presentation Present ‘A day out’. Get students read the questions and then ask his/her partner. Finally write down their ideas on the blanks in Part D. Step 5 Writing Write an article about his/her friend’s Saturday.
