2．了解如何介绍自己的学习和生活情况。
3．了解报告的正确写法。

1．掌握一些与介绍学习和生活有关的词汇：study，talk，confidence，practice，love
2．运用所学知识介绍自己的学习和生活情况。
3．掌握以下重点句子：
①Before class，I was nervous about this report.
②This gives me some confidence to speak English.
③I am one of the best players in the school.
④I will try to improve.

一、创设情境，切入主题
Step 1 Lead－in
Lead in by discussing the following questions：
Do you like to talk about yourself to others？
What do you do when you feel nervous？
Who helps you most in your life？
Discuss the questions in groups.Divide the class into groups of three or four to finish the task.After several minutes，let some students come to the front to show the answers.
二、展开过程，探究新知
Step 2 Listening
Listen to the tape and answer the following questions.
How did Jenny help Li Ming before class？
What does Li Ming hope to do？
What does Li Ming love to do？
Finish the task in class in oral.
Step 3 Reading
Read the text and answer the following questions.
What is Li Ming going to be in the future？
What gives Li Ming confidence to speak English？
How does Li Ming like the ping－pong game？
Finish the task in class in oral.
Step 4 Activities
Read the text again and let the students retell the passage in their own words.Don’t read the passage.Let them sum the main idea of the report.
Ask some students to speak in front of the class.
Step 5 Come to “Let’s Do It！”
Read the lesson again and finish off Exercise 1.Listen to the tape and finish Exercise 2 together.
三、布置作业
Finish off Exercise 3 in “Let’s Do It！”.
