Unit 2 Lesson 1 Visiting a British Family Text 教学目标: Teaching objectives: Ⅰ. Knowledge and skills: 1. Students will be able to master some sentence pattern “I’d like you to meet…” 2. Students will be able to express and respond to appreciation. Ⅱ.Progress and Methods: 1. Students will be able to develop their abilities of learning independently, cooperation with others and sharing with others. 2. Students will be able to develop their abilities of listening, speaking and reading. Ⅲ.Emotions and values: 1. Students will be able to arouse the interest of learning English. 2. Students will be able to learn some culture and customs of different countries. Language focus and difficult points: To learn some culture and customs of different countries. Teaching procedures: Ⅰ.Pre-task: Ⅰ.Warming-up: Tuning In 教师领读框内词语,要求学生将图片与词语配对 Picture 1 Who are the two people in Picture 1 ? ( One is Zhang Jun and the other is his local friend.) What is Zhang Jun doing ?(He is communicating with his local friend) Picture 2 and Picture 3 教单词 painting, shake hands with sb. 根据课本的问题2和3,并且根据图片提示下列问题 What will an English boy/girl do when a relative gives him /her a T-shirt as a birthday present? (提示: culture 一般是不可数名词,但在表示“多国文化”时,用作可数名词,需要用复数形式。) Ⅱ.While-task: 1. Before listening to the text, according to the picture, ask some questions: Who visited Helen? What present was Zhang Jun taking ? (A traditional Chinese painting.) What was Helen doing? (She was greeting Zhang Jun.) What did Helen do after Zhang Jun entered the room? (She took his coat.) What did Zhang Jun say when he saw Helen’s house? (He said ,”What d beautiful house you have got!”) Who did Zhang Jun shake hands with? (He shook hands with Helen’s parents.) What did Helen show Zhang Jun around? (She showed him around their house.) 2. Listen to the text and finish the Comprehension Check 3. Read after the tape loudly 4. Play a role to read the text 5. Underline some important phrases and sentences in the text. Notes of the text: 1)on his study trip在他的学习旅行中  on his second study trip在他的第二次学习旅行中 2)communicate with more local people 和更多的当地人交流 3)It’s great to see you again再次见到你真是太好了.. = Nice to see you again . = Haven’t seen you for ages . = Haven’t seen you for a long time. 以上都老朋友相见时说的,意思为“再次见到你真是太好了.” 4)May I take your coat? 我能将你的大衣拿去(挂好)吗? 在英国\美国,客人刚进门时往往脱去外衣.主人为了表示好客,主动要求接过客人的外衣去挂好. 5)李辉,我想把你介绍给我的父母. 类似的介绍用语还有: --I’d like you to meet …. --Let me introduce you to … --May I introduce you to …? 6)Here’s a present for you . here 用在句首以引起注意或加强语气. --Here’s the address of you hotel. --Here are the tickets for you. 7)I’d glad you like it.我很高兴你喜欢它. 这是对主人收到礼物表示感谢时的应答句.西方人接过客人礼物时往往立即将包装好的礼物当客人面打开.若是衣服,领带等,他们会马上试穿或试戴. 8)a traditional Chinese painting something希望得到肯定的答复 9)Since this is your first visit to my family, shall I show you around our house? The Adverbial Clause of Reason 原因状语从句 Since=now that=as 原因状语从句是说明主句谓语动词动作发生的原因和理由.引导原因状语从句的从属连词:because, as, since, now that.本句中since意为because,但语气略弱一些,并且since所引导的从句常放主句之前,表示已知的原因. --Since you are going, I will go too.
