Unit 1 How do I get to the Forbidden City?
一、教学目标：
1.语言知识目标：掌握本单元的表示方位的有关词汇left, right, opposite, between, corner, along和bank, market, pool, square,supermarket等事物名称。
2.语言技能目标：能够问路、指路、对某一区域进行描述，并能进行听、说、读、写的任务活动。
3.情感目标：通过进行问路、指路的相关训练，培养学生积极运用英语进行实践活动的意识和能力，让学生乐于了解文化意识。
二、学情分析：
本单元以出行旅游为话题，通过语言材料展示了问路、指路、对某一区域进行描述的语言表达方式，同时介绍了首都北京的一些景点。可让学生运用配图和所学基本句型指路、问路，完成相关任务活动。
三、重难点及突破措施：
本单元的重难点是问路的几种方式和表达方位的介词的用法。在实际授课中，要创设各种情景让学生展开充分的操练，让学生在小组合作学习中获得知识的同时，使语言技能也得以提高。
四、教学过程：

Task1单词大比拼
1. 让学生齐读单词，快速回顾本单元词汇。
2. 学生小组内默写下列词汇（比一比，看谁写得又对又快）：

2. Listen again and write down the places in order. (再听一遍，把听到的地点按顺序写下来)。

3. Pairwork.
Say which places you can find in our city.
(根据part1图示地点，让学生结合自己绘制的城市简图，说出自己城市有的地方，巩固词汇，完成part2。同时，让学生初步了解地图上的地点所在位置。)
Eg: There is a supermarket in our city.It’s on …Road/Street.
Task4 Listen and read.
通过设置多层听力和阅读任务，让学生充分理解内容。
1. Listen and answer（听对话回答，初步感知听力材料）:

2. Listen again and match the numbers on the map with the places.（进一步听对话结合课本地图，完成part4）

Task5. Language points. (语言点学习)
学生读对话，在理解对话的基础上学习重点句型和知识点。学生组内找出知识点并讨论其用法，小组展示、点评，师简评。
1. …how do I get to the Forbidden City？ ……我怎样才能到达紫禁城呢？
这是口语中较为常用的问路用语.问路要有礼貌，可以用excuse me 或please引起对方的注意。下面是几种常用问路语：
Could you tell me the way to…？Where is …?How do I get to…?
请同学们自己在课本对话中试找出几例，划出来。
