Part One: Pre-reading
T: At the beginning of this lesson, let’s review last lesson.
Simon’s birthday is coming. What does Daniel want to buy for Simon? (PPT 5)
Ss: A yo-yo.
T: So Daniel goes to a shop. There are many yo-yos in the shop. They’re quite expensive. (PPT 6) They’re very dear. The shopkeeper tells Daniel to buy the white yo-yo. The shopkeeper means the one who sells things in the shop. There’s a discount on the white yo-yo. Yesterday it was ten yuan, now it’s 5 yuan. It costs Daniel 5 yuan. (PPT 7)

Part Two: While-reading
1. Read and complete the table.
