Learn some useful words and expressions: smart, count, hen, jump, frog, climb, everyone,tennis, table tennis 2. Learn "can"for ability: (1)Can you count them for me? (2)Can you work out math problems, Polly? (3)—What can a hen do? —It can jump, but it can’t swim. (4)—Can Mr.Wang speak English? —Yes, he can. He can speak it very well/a little. /—Yes, but not very well. /—No, he can’t speak it at all. Ⅱ. Teaching aids 教具 图卡/挂图/录音机 Ⅲ. Fivefinger Teaching plan 五指教学方案 Step 1 Review 第一步 复习(时间: 10分钟) 1.(听I Can Sing It Well 这首歌,复习情态动词can。) T: Let’s listen to a song "I Can Sing It Well?" to relax ourselves. (放课文5 Class activities的录音,让学生听两遍。) 2.(让全班同学一起边唱边做动作。) T: Now, Let’s sing this song together. We must sing and act. Example: Can you swim? Yes, I can. (边唱边做游泳的动作。) Can you fly? No, I can’t.(用双臂做飞翔的动作。) Can you sing? Yes, I can.(用一只手做拿话筒的动作。) 3.(学生分组演唱这首歌。) T: Let’s sing this song in groups. Group 1, ready, go! 4.(学生个人演唱,进行比赛。) T: I’ll ask one student in each group to sing this song. Let’s see who sings best. 5.(现场招聘会。) (1)各俱乐部按顺序依次到讲台前进行宣传,才艺表演之后将本俱乐部的招聘广告贴在教室的墙壁上。 Music club ★ Do you like singing? ★ Can you sing? Come and join us! (2)(面试正式开始。) (招聘组在指定的位子就座后,面试组的同学开始根据自己的兴趣爱好和特长到各俱乐部应聘。) T: Now, the interviews begin. You can do like this. Example: S1: What’s your name? S2: My name is... S1: How old are you? S2: I am... years old. S1: What ca n you do? S2: I can sing songs. S1: Can you sing an English song? S2: Yes, I can. /No, I can’t. (学生在应聘时,让他唱一首歌。) (3)(应聘结束。) (各俱乐部向大家宣布录取的人员名单并说明原因,同时汇报本俱乐部的总人数。) T: The interviews stop. Each club reports it to the class. Example: Music club: There are five students in our club. They are Maria, Jane, ... and Kangkang. Maria likes singing, she can sing English songs very well... 6.(在讲台上放一堆书本,引出单词count。) T: There are many books on the table. I don’t know how many books there are. S1, can you count them for me? (教学单词count。) S1: Yes,I can. One, two, three, four... There are fifteen books on the table. T: Very good. You are smart. count v.数;计数smart adj.聪明的;伶俐的 (老师再呈现一些物品或图画,让学生练习count的用法。) 7.(老师在黑板上出一道数学题,引出plus和work out。) 7+8=?12+14=?72+16=? T: Now, the whole class look at these math problems on the Bb. They are easy. What’s seven plus eight? Can you work it out? S1: Yes, I can. It’s fifteen. T: What’s 12 plus 14? Can you work it out? S2: Yes, it’s twenty-six. T: What’s 72 plus 16? S3: It’s 88. —What’s 7 plus 8?7加8等于几? —It’s 15.等于15. work out 算出;计算 8.(老师再出一道较难的数学题,练习plus和work out。) 1+2+3+4+…+97+98+99+100=? T: What’s one plus two plus three...plus one hundred? It’s a little difficult. Can you work it out? S4: I know. It’s 5050. 9.(学生互相出题,两人互相问答。) T: Work in pairs. Ask and answer like this: A: What’s...plus...?Can you work it out? B: Yes, I can. It’s... T: Stop!What can Parrot do? Let’s listen and answer the questions. (过渡到下一步。) Step 2 Presentation 第二步 呈现(时间: 5分钟) (设置并板书听力任务。) T: Listen to the tape and answer the following questions. Can Parrot sing an English song? Can Parrot count? Can it speak English? Can it work out math problems? (听录音,回答问题,讲解该部分。) speak English - sing an English song - count - work out (将关键词写黑板上,呈现出1a。) Step 3 Consolidation 第三步 巩固(时间: 5分钟) 1.(老师放录音1a,示范让学生跟读。) T: Follow the tape and draw "up or down" with your pencil like this. 2.(老师让学生擦去所标重读与语调,先自读,然后跟录音一起读。) T: Rub them clean, read and check your pronunciation sentence by sentence.Go! 3.(看第二步呈现在黑板上的关键词,学生三人一组表演1a。) T: Work in groups. Close your book, look at the backboard and act the dialog out. Step 4 Practice 第四步 练习(时间: 15分钟) 1.(呈现一张母鸡的图画,引出hen, jump。) T: What’s this in Chinese? Ss: It’s "母鸡"。 T: Right. It’s a hen in English. What can a hen do? S: It can jump, but can’t swim. T: You are smart. 2.(老师用同样的方法,教学单词frog和climb. ) hen n.母鸡 jump v.跳跃 frog n.青蛙 climb v.爬,(攀)登 3.(让学生用课文的图片互相问答。) T: Work in pairs. Ask and answer like this: A: What can... do? B: She/He can..., but she/he can’t... 4.(让一位同学到讲台前用英语作自我介绍,要讲到能做和不能做的事情。) T: Li Ming, come here, please. Introduce yourself in English. Li Ming: Hello, everyone. My name is... T: Very good. Go back to your seat, thank you.Now, the whole class. Can Li Ming speak English? Ss: Yes, he can. He speaks it very well/a little. 5.(让一位英语口语较差的同学作自我介绍。教师要适当鼓励和帮助他/她。) (学生先做完自我介绍,老师提问。练习can及can’t的用法。) T: Can Wang Peng speak English? Ss: Yes, but not very well. T: Right. Wang Peng, you must study English hard. 6.(让一位女同学打乒乓球。) (该女同学并不会打乒乓球。) T: Can Li Mei play table tennis? Ss: No, she can’t play it at all. very well/a little not very well not at all 7.(带领学生做3 Pair work。) T: Discuss the people in the pictures, and make a dialog with your partner like this: A: Can...? B: Yes, he/she can. He/She can... very well/a little. Yes, but not very well. No, he/she can’t speak it at all. (看图画,学生两人互相问答。) Step 5 Project 第五步 综合探究活动(时间: 10分钟) 1.(学生做4 Group work。) T: Talk about one of your friends, using the expressions in the box. You may use your own words. Begin like this: Jack is my friend. He can speak English very well, but he can’t sing English songs. swimdraw picturesread English books cookplay table tennissing Chinese songs take photosspeak Japanesemake model planes 2.(唱"I Can Sing It Well"这首歌。) T: Let’s sing "I Can Sing It Well" together. (让学生用其它的动词替换并唱出,边唱边做相应的动作。为熟练掌握can及can’t的用法做练习。) 3.(弹性课堂: 教学生一些谚语。) (1)Early start makes easy stages. 早点动身,一路从容。 (2)No hand can make the clock strike for me that hours have passed. 光阴如流水,一去不复还。 (3)Do as well as you can today and perhaps you may be able to do better tomorrow. 今天你尽力把事情做好,明天也许就做得更好。 (4)There is no royal road to learning. 学无坦途。 (5)Every man is the master of his own futures. 每个人都是自己命运的主宰者。 4.(游戏: 课前准备几张写有猪、鸡、青蛙等的纸片和面具,纸片扣放在讲桌上,面具放在一边。两人一组,一人手持面具,另一个翻看桌上的纸片。然后说: I can...but I can’t...手持面具者根据他的解说,判断出是哪一种动物后,戴上面具说: It is a... It can...but it can’t...面具与纸片上所写的动物对上的为获胜,由时间长短定,可找几组进行练习。) 5. Homework: Write a passage about your family. Begin like this: Example: There are four people in my family. They are my father, my mother, my sister and I. My father can drive a car, but he can’t cook...
