Project Content Aims Teaching procedures Step1: Reviewing Review some words learnt in the last lesson by doing some exercises (Fill in the blanks with proper words in the last lesson ) Make the students learn to use the words correctly Step 2: New words Learn the new words with the help of some pictures or examples: coast, handbag, servant, guard, queen, crash, among,mad,serve Motivate the Ss and learn about some new words and expressions Step 3: Think about it Which characters in the play do you like? Which do you dislike? What happened in the last lesson? Can you guess what will happen in this lesson? Encourage the students to use English to talk about the topic and to express their ideas Step 4: New Concept I. Listening Ask the students to listen to the tape and answer the question: What did the fisherman’s wife want to be at last? Answer: Queen of the Sea. II. Read and do the exercises in the textbook Ask the students to read the text by themselves and then do the exercises Get to know more about the content and key information about the lesson. Students can understand better through reading and listening. Step 5: Language points I. Learn the phrases and do the exercise look out look around be angry with go off too much 1.
